Are you interested in a career in pathology, wondering what the training pathway looks like or wanting advice on the application process?

The PathSoc Undergraduate Subcommittee is hosting a virtual event on “A Career in Pathology” next Monday 14th November at 6-7pm.

We have invited Professor Ming-Qing Du, professor of oncological pathology at the University of Cambridge, and Dr Kate Marks, academic histopathology registrar at the University of Leeds and Chair of the PathSoc Trainees' Subcommittee, to give talks on the day-to-day life of a pathologist, insight into the training pathway and application advice.

Hello everyone!

Are you interested in forensic pathology? Do you want to find out more about this medical specialty? If the answer is yes, join PathSoc’s virtual webinar: ‘An introduction to forensic pathology with Professor Philip Lumb’ at 7:00-8:00pm on Monday 24th January 2022.

This webinar will introduce:
- An overview of forensic pathology and its training pathway
- The variety of work and day-to-day roles in forensic pathology
- The pros and cons of the career
- Interesting forensic case studies
… plus the opportunity to participate in a Q&A

A certificate of attendance for your portfolio will be provided.

Hello to all new and old members! Due to our schedules we wont be able to attend in person at the societies fair tomorrow, please feel free to comment or send us a message here.

Please can I also bring your attention to the Pathological Society Undergraduate Network, see the link below. We are also hoping to collaborate with PathSoc at the University of Birmingham this year and try and organise post mortem experience days now that restrictions are lifted.
