We are excited to share that Gemma Hathaway, our EDI/Personal Development Lead and Senior Assistant Headteacher at Blue Coat CofE School, is a contributor to the forthcoming book No Other: Creating Schools Where Everyone Belongs, edited by award-winning education writer Ian Gilbert.

Gemma’s chapter, ‘You Belong Here - Cultivating Value, Voice, and Cultural Belonging in All Schools’, explores an area at the heart of her work across Inspire and Blue Coat: creating school communities where everyone feels valued, heard and that they truly belong.

Ahead of the book’s publication later this year, Independent Thinking has released a collection of extracts from its contributors, including a preview of Gemma’s contribution.

🎬 Meet our new Chair of the Board of Directors!

In our September Monthly Minute, Jane Durkin introduces herself, shares her experience from more than 30 years working across education and talks about her passion for ensuring every child has access to the very best education and opportunities.

Jane also explains the important role our Board of Directors plays in setting the strategic direction of Inspire Education Trust and supporting the continued success of our schools. 💜

We launched Monthly Minute internally in January to help keep colleagues connected with what is happening across our Trust. This academic year, we are excited to share more editions externally too, giving our families, communities and partners an insight into the people and work behind Inspire.
