🌟 Celebrating an Incredible Half Term at Countesthorpe Academy! 🌟

This half term, we challenged all of our students to "Be the Best They Can Be" — and they have risen to the challenge in spectacular style! 👏✨

Across every year group, our students have shown immense hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm. We’ve been delighted to celebrate these achievements in our Whole School Recognition Assemblies this term.

🌟 Celebration Friday: Whole School Achievement Assembly! 🌟

What an incredible week! In today's Whole School Online Achievement Assembly, we were so proud to celebrate the continuous hard work, determination, and success of our amazing students across all year groups. 👏🎉

A huge congratulations to everyone recognised this week, including:
☕ Hot Chocolate with the Headteacher – Special staff nominations for going above and beyond!
👥 Whole CREW Attendance Champions – Showing up, supporting each other, and aiming high together.
🧮 Spark Maths & Science Leaders – Top achievers crushing their problem-solving goals.
📚 Top Educake Students – Exceptional dedication to independent learning.

🔴 WEAR RED DAY AT COUNTESTHORP

Today, our school community proudly stood together for Show Racism the Red Card’s national ! 🎒✨

Students joined in by wearing an item of red alongside their school uniform to show our shared commitment to tackling racism.

During today’s whole-school online assembly, Mrs McKenzie spoke about the crucial importance of being actively anti-racist and reminded us all of the role we play in ending racism—both in our school and in the wider community.

Thank you to all our students and staff for showing their support today! Together, we say NO to racism. 🛑❤️

📢 Aspire Lecture Programme

A huge thank you to Ms Howell for delivering an inspiring Aspire Lecture today in the Hive Centre. Students gained valuable insight into her journey from education into a highly successful career in safeguarding and child protection.

The session explored career pathways within safeguarding and public services, the skills and qualities needed to succeed, and the challenges and rewards of supporting vulnerable young people. Most importantly, students heard how career journeys are rarely straightforward and how opportunities can emerge in unexpected ways.

Thank you to everyone who attended and engaged so thoughtfully with the discussion. We hope the lecture has inspired students to continue exploring their future pathways with curiosity and ambition.

At Countesthorpe Academy, empowering our students to become active leaders is at the heart of our approach to preparing students for a bright future.

We had a fantastic start to this year's Pupil Leadership Team meetings, with students working collaboratively to share ideas, identify key improvements, and help shape the future of our school.

Giving students a seat at the table fosters accountability, teamwork, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the classroom. We look forward to supporting their initiatives throughout the academic year!

Recently, our ASPIRE students had the pleasure of welcoming Reverend Cameron Wiltshire-Plant for an incredibly moving and thought-provoking session.

Reverend Wiltshire-Plant shared insights into his own life journey, prompting our students to reflect on the paths, choices, and opportunities that shape our futures, from education and university, to career aspirations and personal values 📖💡

It was a powerful reminder that every journey is unique, and every choice counts.
