Meet Jen Family Hubs North Northants, Izzie and Elizabeth Milk&You who will be running our young parents group at Corby Family Hub (Exeter School). They will be joined each month by Sarah from Youth Inspired- Clubs for Young People Northamptonshire.

If you are aged 16-24 years and expecting a baby or have a child under 5 years old, come along and have a chat!

It's a space where there's no judgment but one full of support and encouragement!! 💜

⭐️ LOOK AT OUR TREASURES! ⭐️
A few of the wonderful nursery team visited a car boot at the weekend and have bought lots of wonderful things for our gorgeous new learning environment.

Keep your eyes peeled for a sneaky video peek next week! It is starting to come together and looking fantastic! 👀

The children have already settled in so beautifully this week and have really been learning the new routines and how we look after our new areas ❤️

The new September - December programme is here! Family Hubs North Northants There are a number of activities across all the Corby sites, but the ones closest to home, here at Exeter are:
Monday: Creative Play (0-4) 12:45-2:45pm
Wednesday: Supportive Steps Play and Stay 10-11am
Thursday: Senses and Smiles (0-12 months) 4 week course, 3 throughout the term. 10-11am
Thursday: Milk & You Young parents Group 1-2pm
Friday: Wiggle & Jiggle (2-4) 10-11am
Friday: Supportive Steps our little Step

🌟 Under 1’s Sleep🌟

1 session with activities and information around sleep and safe sleep for babies under one year old.

A session for parents / carers and their baby under one year old. During the session we will share information about sleep and safe sleep for babies. It will include activities for your baby to play with and ideas for you to try at home.

During the sessions you will also be able to talk on a 1:1 basis with our qualified Early Years professionals about development and wellbeing topics, ask questions and share any concerns or worries you have about your child or your own wellbeing.

ARK Farm visit

What a WOW day our Nursery and FS2 children had yesterday 🐹🐰🦆

We had the exciting experience of ARK Farm coming to our school site and setting up a mini farm, so that all of our early years children could be offered the experience to take part!

There were sheep, goats, a donkey, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and even a farm dog for us to meet. Children were able to get up close to the animals and even stroke and brush them.

We met some more unusual and exotic animals - a mouse, a hedgehog, some chinchillas, a tortoise and even a gecko named Arthur!

The ARK Farm Team were very knowledgeable and helped the children, and the staff, learn lots of interesting facts about the animals, and how to care for them.

The experience sparked the most fantastic questions and supported children to develop their language skills.

Here are just some of the magical things the children were heard saying:

T - 'I like the tortoise the best because I like slow things!'

E - 'Arthur the gecko feels like a scooter!'

K - 'It's eating the banana!'

F - 'It's horn feels like my fingernail!'

L - 'eeeee-ooorrrrrr' (to the donkey)
