What’s On at Exeter

Join us for sessions designed for parents, babies and young children, a chance to connect with families.

Something for everyone, for little ones to have interaction, parents/carers can find support from our practitioners.

Sessions also provide families with the opportunity to meet others, share experiences and talk.

🌟 Under 1’s Sleep🌟

1 session with activities and information around sleep and safe sleep for babies under one year old.

A session for parents / carers and their baby under one year old. During the session we will share information about sleep and safe sleep for babies. It will include activities for your baby to play with and ideas for you to try at home.

During the sessions you will also be able to talk on a 1:1 basis with our qualified Early Years professionals about development and wellbeing topics, ask questions and share any concerns or worries you have about your child or your own wellbeing.

ARK Farm visit

What a WOW day our Nursery and FS2 children had yesterday 🐹🐰🦆

We had the exciting experience of ARK Farm coming to our school site and setting up a mini farm, so that all of our early years children could be offered the experience to take part!

There were sheep, goats, a donkey, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and even a farm dog for us to meet. Children were able to get up close to the animals and even stroke and brush them.

We met some more unusual and exotic animals - a mouse, a hedgehog, some chinchillas, a tortoise and even a gecko named Arthur!

The ARK Farm Team were very knowledgeable and helped the children, and the staff, learn lots of interesting facts about the animals, and how to care for them.

The experience sparked the most fantastic questions and supported children to develop their language skills.

Here are just some of the magical things the children were heard saying:

T - 'I like the tortoise the best because I like slow things!'

E - 'Arthur the gecko feels like a scooter!'

K - 'It's eating the banana!'

F - 'It's horn feels like my fingernail!'

L - 'eeeee-ooorrrrrr' (to the donkey)

✨K- 'I like having cuddles with my teachers'.
