**Is continuous provision sometimes misunderstood in Early Years?**

I'd be interested to hear what other Early Years professionals think about this.

When we visit settings, one of the most useful questions we can ask isn't:

**"What resources are available?"**

It's:

**"What can children actually learn here?"**

There can be a temptation to think that good continuous provision means constantly changing activities, adding attractive enhancements or creating something new for children every day.

But strong continuous provision should give children opportunities to return to familiar resources and experiences, practise skills, develop their own ideas, solve problems and deepen their learning.

And then there's the adult.

When should they join the play?
When should they model something?
When should they introduce new vocabulary?
When should they provide additional challenge?
And, importantly, when should they step back?

We've been developing a new EYBS resource around this and it has prompted some really interesting conversations.

So I'd love to know:

👇 **If you could change ONE thing about continuous provision in your setting tomorrow, what would it be?**

The resources?
The environment?
Adult interactions?
Understanding the learning behind each area?
Something completely different?

I'd genuinely love to hear what other settings are finding.

A brilliant result for one of our clients today! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that a client we’ve been supporting has successfully passed their Ofsted registration visit, an important milestone on their journey to opening their early years setting.

While we’ll always keep our clients’ details confidential, we couldn’t let this moment pass without recognising the hard work, preparation and commitment that goes into reaching this stage.

We’ve had the privilege of supporting them with the registration process by helping them prepare, understand what to expect and approach their visit with confidence.

Seeing everything come together successfully is exactly why we do what we do.

If you’re working towards registering your own early years setting and would value some practical, knowledgeable support along the way, we’d be happy to help.
