๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ฒ Walk to School Week is nearly here! ๐ฒ๐ถโโ๏ธ
Next week, weโre encouraging families to leave the car at home and enjoy walking, scooting, or cycling to school where possible. Itโs a great way for children to stay active, build confidence, and start the day feeling refreshed and ready to learn. ๐
Walking to school also helps reduce traffic and pollution around our school gates, making the journey safer and healthier for everyone. This works alongside our pupil wellbeing and readiness to learn agenda by ensuring they get their movement in as well as quality sleep and nutrition ๐๐
Why not join in this week and make the school run an adventure? Every step counts!
๐ธ Weโd love to see your journeys โ feel free to share photos (where appropriate) in the comments.
๐ต What an amazing day! ๐ต
We were so fortunate to have some special visitors in school earlier this week who performed live music for our pupils! ๐ถโจ
It's moments like these that remind us just how important it is to enhance our curriculum with extracurricular activities. These experiences bring learning to life and open up a world of possibilities for our children! ๐
Today's performance was all about promoting the love of music ๐ผโค๏ธ - and who knows? We may have just inspired some of our future musicians! ๐ธ๐น๐ค
Enriching our curriculum beyond the classroom helps our pupils discover new passions, build confidence, and develop skills that will stay with them for life. ๐ซ

๐ Every School Day Matters! ๐งฉ
Think of your child's education like a jigsaw puzzle. When all 20 pieces are in place, the picture is complete and clear. But what happens when pieces start going missing?
โ Miss 5 days = 5 missing puzzle pieces - the message becomes harder to read
โ Miss 10 days = half the puzzle gone - big gaps in understanding
โ Miss 15 days = only fragments remain - learning becomes nearly impossible
Every absence is a missing piece of learning that affects:
โ
Understanding new concepts that build on previous lessons
โ
Keeping up with classmates
โ
Confidence in the classroom
โ
Future academic success
When children miss school, they don't just miss that one day - they miss building blocks that everything else is built upon. Just like you can't complete the puzzle without all the pieces, children can't reach their full potential without consistent attendance.
When all the pieces are there, that's when the complete picture of their education comes together! ๐
Let's work together to ensure every child has all the pieces they need for success. Attendance matters!
Be Ready (to achieve) here, on time, learning.

We truly believe every child deserves the chance to succeed and feel proud of who theyโre becoming ๐
We know that every familyโs journey looks a little different, and thatโs why weโre here to work alongside you โ every step of the way. Together, we can support your child through whatever challenges come their way.
With high expectations, great teaching, and a strong focus on care, we aim to give every child the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive โ not just in school, but in life.

Last week, Nursery had a jungle themed week as we read the book - Monkey Puzzle.
The children made animal masks and made posters to help Monkey find his Mummy. They pretended to be vets caring for animals in the role play area. We also talked about pets we have at home.
Nursery have practised subitising and counting to 5, and helped to retell โMonkey Puzzleโ by drawing different animals from the story. We have also checked on our class caterpillars everyday - they are getting bigger and longer!

๐งฎ Hands-On Maths for your children ! ๐
Manipulatives (hands-on learning tools) help young children understand maths by making it visual and fun!
Easy ideas for home:
๐ข Counting - Use buttons, pasta, or toys to count and sort
โ Addition/Subtraction - Use snacks to show adding and taking away
๐ Shapes & Patterns - Create patterns with household items, go on a shape hunt
๐ฐ Money & Measurement - Play shop, measure ingredients while baking
Remember: Let your child touch, move, and explore! Learning through play builds confidence and makes maths enjoyable. ๐
What's your favourite maths activity at home? ๐

Fine motor skills play a vital role in the early development of nursery and infant children โ๐ง . These are the small movements of the hands and fingers that help children learn to grip, pinch, and control objects ๐คโ๏ธ. Developing these skills builds the foundation for everyday tasks such as writing, buttoning clothes, using scissors, and even feeding themselves ๐ฝ๏ธ๐โ๏ธ.
When children are given opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills through play and exploration ๐จ๐งฉ, they also boost their confidence, independence, and coordination ๐. Simple, hands-on activities can make a big difference in supporting their growth and preparing them for school and beyond ๐.
We are excited to share that our academy will be holding workshops for parents and carers ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ, where weโll demonstrate fun, cost-effective techniques you can easily use at home with your children ๐ก. Using everyday items such as pegs, pasta, and flour dough ๐งบ๐๐ฅฃ, weโll show you creative ways to support your childโs development without needing expensive resources ๐ก.
Join us to learn, play, and support your childโs journey in a fun and practical way.
