The great outdoorsπ³
Here at 1st Class we don't believe in bad weather, just a bad outfit choice!
We encourage all of our children to explore the outside environments come rain, shine or snow. The children also take part in regular outings to further explore the world around them. One of our favourite places to visit is the woods.
Over the summer we went on many bear and Gruffalo hunts amongst the trees, developed our problem solving skills by making bridges across small streams out of fallen sticks and logs, and even spotted an owl who was being released back into the wild.
Spending time outdoors is not only great for children's physical skills, but it also enables them to build relationships, expand their vocabulary and develop resilience.

This week we have enjoyed visiting our local woods πΏ
We were lucky enough to even spot a barn owl sitting in the tree! This sparked a big discussion about the story The Gruffalo, we wondered if the Gruffalo may be close by....
We found different flowers, spotted insects and explored the 'swishy' grass.
The children really enjoyed exploring the natural environment, with sunshine and lots of fresh air βοΈ and returned to nursery with lots of happy faces!

We would like to say a big thank you to all our families who attended our Sunflowers Graduation Ceremony this afternoon.
It has been a pleasure to be apart of the children's journeys at 1st Class. From the tiny 2 year olds holding on tight to mum and dad on their first day, to our confident pre-schoolers leaving us for big school, we are so proud of all of them. They will certainly be missed!
Good luck to all of our school leavers, we know you are going to be amazing!ππ»
