What an exciting day! We had a very special visit today from our friends at ECL Civil Engineering LTD. They were kind enough to bring their 'baby digger' to nursery for the children to explore and learn all of the different things that a digger can do!

The children were absolutely fascinated watching the digger in action, especially when the operator scooped up a football reached the arm of the digger in the air and scored a goal in our net!
The children also loved having the chance to sit in the cab and see what it’s like to be a real machine operator.

The team at ECL were so friendly, patient, and engaging with the children—answering their questions and making the morning both fun and educational. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about construction, vehicles, and the people who help build our community.

Thank you again for bringing the digger to our nursery and giving the children such an exciting experience and taking the time to make their day so special!
ECL Civil Engineering Inspiring Futures through Learning

Wow what a way to end the week at our Nursery. Last week we had a very generous donation of sand and top soil from our friends over at ECL civil engineering Ltd. The laughter and excitement that filled the air was contagious. Some of our children helped our friends to unload and fill our sandpit and mud kitchen!

On behalf of the staff and children at Priors Hall a learning community Nursery, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation of sand and topsoil. Your support is truly appreciated, and your contribution will help enhance our outdoor play area, creating lots of learning opportunities for our young learners.

Thanks to your kindness, the children will have the opportunity to explore, learn, and grow in an enriched space that fosters creativity, curiosity, and outdoor play. We are deeply grateful for your and commitment to the well-being and development of our students.

📝⭐️WE ARE WRITERS ⭐️📝

Exploring mark making and articulating the meaning behind their creations, without a fixed purpose or intended outcome. This enables our children to develop confidence that their written messages are valuable and can communicate meaning to others, all before recognisable 'letters' begin to form!

At our nursery, We encourage a love of writing without constraints and support our children to make meaningful marks in their play… wherever they may be! 🌳✨

One of the most popular places to play in Nursery is always in our imagination station and the children have particularly enjoyed it over the last few weeks as we have created a 'police station'.

The children have been in character as Police Officers, imagined characters to capture and even created their own 'Wanted' posters, describing all of the features of the 'baddies'! They have explored patterns, finger printing and the concepts of being 'kind' and 'unkind' alongside purposeful early mark making - this was definitely a learning opportunity that provided lots of creative and imaginative thinking! 🌳✨

It was so nice to have all of our children back in Nursery with us yesterday after our half term holiday. It had been particularly exciting because it had fallen on Halloween so to celebrate we had a Spooktacular party. We had a wonderful day of music, dancing, party food and party games.

We are so happy to all be back together. It has been so nice to hear the children talking about all of the lovely things that they have been doing at home over the half term break.

We are looking forward to another exciting term and planning lots of activities for all of our lovely children! 🌳✨
