P6 & P7 Make a Fantastic Start to the New School Year

Our P6 & P7 class have had a great first day back and have settled into their new classroom brilliantly. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces as everyone reunited with friends.

To kick-start the year, the class took part in an exciting STEM challenge. Working collaboratively in groups, the pupils were tasked with designing and building their own marble runs with a very tricky goal: to make the marble travel down as slowly as possible!

The children showed excellent teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills as they planned, tested and improved their designs. There was great excitement around the classroom as each group experimented with different ideas and celebrated their successes together.

We are incredibly proud of how well the pupils worked together and the positive attitude they showed throughout the challenge. If today is anything to go by, P6 & P7 are in for a fantastic year ahead!

Well done, P6 & P7!

A Fantastic First Day in P2!

What a wonderful first day our new P2 children have had at Coagh Primary School!

The children have settled in so well and enjoyed a fun-filled day of exploring, playing, creating and getting to know their new classroom, teachers and friends.

During the day, the children took part in a range of activities including art, circle time and story time. They also enjoyed outdoor play and had plenty of opportunities to learn through indoor play.

Indoor play included painting, drawing, role play, construction, games, water and sand play. The children enjoyed exploring the different areas and choosing activities that interested them most.

It was a lovely start to the new school year, and we look forward to seeing the children settle in and enjoy their time in P2.

🌟 A Wonderful First Day for Our Primary 1 Pupils 🌟

Miss Donnelly and Miss Dallas were delighted to welcome our new Primary 1 pupils to Coagh Primary School this morning for their very first day.

There was great excitement as families arrived, with lots of photographs being taken on the way to school and outside the school gates to capture this special milestone. The pupils settled in well and quickly began exploring their new surroundings.

The children enjoyed spending time outdoors in the play area, where they had the opportunity to experiment with a variety of equipment and engage in play-based learning activities. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they explored, discovered and made new friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our newest pupils, listening to their stories and seeing the smiles on their faces throughout the morning. Their enthusiasm and excitement made for a fantastic start to their journey at Coagh Primary School.
