💙 October is AAC Awareness Month! 💬✨

Communication comes in so many different forms, and every single one deserves to be recognised, celebrated and understood! 🙌

One of my favourite parts of my job is working alongside the incredible Speech and Language Therapy Team’s, learning from their expertise and helping bring different forms of communication into our everyday movement sessions.

Whether it’s through symbols, communication devices, gestures, signs or sounds, every voice matters, and every form of communication deserves to be heard! 🥰

It’s amazing what we can achieve when we work together to make sure everyone has the opportunity to express themselves, make choices and feel included.

I absolutely love getting the opportunity to work closely alongside them and see first-hand the incredible work they put in every single day.

The patience, encouragement, knowledge and belief they give these children honestly doesn’t go unnoticed. The work that happens behind the scenes is something else, and moments like this are a reflection of so many people working together.

I’m just like a wee cheerleader in the background, hyping them up and celebrating every little win along the way 😂👏
