We are delighted to team up with Cris Miles of BOOM Sail, Power and Race Training.

Cris is a well-known face in and around Conwy, and is the owner of Boom Power & Sail. In early 2026, Cris and AstroNav decided to combine forces in collaboration to offer more training solutions to boat owners in Conwy Marina. Cris is an experienced RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor and recently became an IYT approved instructor as well. Cris owns and operates an MCA Coded Racing Yacht based in Conwy Marina and can often be found delivering Sail Training courses in collaboration with AstroNav for those wishing to charter abroad.

We have two spaces left next Thursday - Friday and also next weekend on our MCA approved 2 day powerboat course resulting in your International Certificate of Competence meaning you can charter a powerboat of up to 10m the next time you go abroad!

We are looking for Powerboat Instructors to deliver 2 day courses from our centre in Conwy on our 7.8m RIB.

Note: a seafarers ML5 / ENG1 medical, sea survival and First Aid are additional mandatory requirements due to coding of boat.
