I’m Christine, a passionate teacher of Modern Foreign Languages with over 20 years experience located in Consett, County Durham. Through my company, CGSLS, I offer a professional language learning service personally tailored to you. I offer private tuition of Spanish and French available for individuals and groups, with all ages and abilities welcome. So whether you are a keen traveller, a student

in need of extra support, you’d like to try something new, or you’re someone who simply has a passion for learning, I can work with you to improve your skills and discover your passion for a new (or old!) language. How and where you learn is entirely your choice. Students are welcome at my home, or if you prefer, I can come to you! "Here is my opinion of how learning to speak Spanish with you has benefited me!
Three years ago I made the decision to learn speaking Spanish. I had dabbled with Duolingo and realised I needed a teacher. I was so lucky to find Christine Smith. However, I had stepped right outside of my comfort zone! But I needn’t have worried as Christine instantly put me at ease. Every lesson is fun, lively, colourful, rewarding and always with lovely positive feedback (so different from my school days)!

Learning Spanish has given me new confidence, I am so proud of my achievements and often can’t believe how much I have learned. I learn so much in every lesson and I look forward to each lesson.

Holidays to Spain have become so much more interesting and having the confidence to speak Spanish is an amazing experience.

I recommend Christine and if you’re thinking about trying a new language don’t look any further!
