🎨✨ Art from everyday items! ✨🎨

The children have been getting creative today using everyday items in a completely different way! 🖌️

We used toilet roll holders and bubble wrap with paint to create some amazing prints and patterns. 🫧🎨

It’s wonderful to see how simple resources can inspire creativity, imagination and lots of messy fun! 💕

🎨 Little hands, big creativity! 🖐️💕

Our babies had lots of fun exploring paint today, creating beautiful little fingerprints. Some even chose to paint their whole hands and make their own special pictures! 🥰

A lovely sensory experience that encourages creativity, self-expression and allows our little ones to explore in their own unique way. 🌈✨

🌑✨ Exploring the Solar Eclipse! ✨🌑

Yesterday we learnt all about solar eclipses! 🌞🌑 We watched a video to see what an eclipse looks like and explored some of the basic science behind how the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun.

The children then got creative, making their own eclipse pictures using gloopy paint 🎨 and drawing what they imagined the eclipse might look like right here in our own town! 🌑🖍️

We love combining science, creativity and imagination to help the children make sense of the world around them. 💫🌍

Our babies have been busy developing their gross motor skills through active play today! 💚

They loved exploring the climbing equipment, crawling through tunnels, and stretching their bodies as they reached, balanced, climbed, and moved in different ways. These fun activities help to strengthen their muscles, improve coordination and balance, build confidence, and support their overall physical development.

It’s wonderful to see our little explorers challenging themselves, learning new skills, and having so much fun along the way! 🌈✨

This week we’ve been following the children’s interests and turning their ideas into exciting learning experiences! 💇‍♀️✨

Our tuff tray became a busy hair salon, where the children loved styling each other’s hair using a variety of hairdressing accessories. We also explored a fizzy bath bomb in the water tray, watching and talking about the exciting bubbles and reactions, while our car enthusiasts enjoyed creating their own adventures with the car garage floor game. 🚗🫧

Following children’s interests helps to spark curiosity, imagination and meaningful learning every day! 💚

🌿 A wonderful morning of natural sensory exploration! 🌸

Our children have been immersed in a calming, nature-inspired play experience today. One tuff tray was filled with beautiful real flowers for the children to explore, smell, touch and investigate, while another was filled with shredded paper, encouraging them to scoop, hide, discover and create.

Today our babies had so much fun exploring a construction-themed messy play activity! 🏗️🚜

We filled our tuff tray with soil and provided trucks, diggers and bricks, allowing the children to create their very own building site. They loved scooping, transporting, digging and building as they explored the different textures and materials.

Messy play like this offers so many wonderful benefits. It encourages sensory exploration, develops fine motor skills, sparks imagination and creativity, builds early problem-solving skills, and supports language development as the children play and interact together.

Learning through play is always the best kind of learning, especially when it gets a little messy! 🤎🧱🚛

🌳🌞 Out and About in Our Community! 🌞🌳

Our children have had a wonderful time exploring our local community and enjoying a visit to the park! 💚

Trips like these provide so many valuable learning opportunities, from developing confidence and independence to building physical skills, social interactions, and an appreciation of the world around us. Watching the children laugh, play, explore, and make new discoveries together is always such a joy. 🌼🛝

We are so lucky to have such lovely community spaces to enjoy, and the smiles on the children’s faces say it all! 😊💚

🎓 Graduation Day 2026 🎓

Today is a very special day as we celebrate the graduation of our wonderful Preschool children! ❤️

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you and all that you have achieved during your time at Tilly-Mints Cherubs Day Nursery. Watching you grow in confidence, develop new skills, build friendships, and become happy, curious learners has been a privilege.

Although it’s time to say goodbye, we know you’re ready for your next adventure. We wish you every success as you begin your school journey this September. Keep believing in yourselves, keep smiling, and never stop being the amazing little people you are.

To all of our families, thank you for allowing us to be part of your child’s early years. It has been an honour to watch them grow, and we will miss them all so much.
