Charity donations begin next week and we're kicking off with £7000, split as 14 x £500 donations to 14 primary schools on the 100 route 👇👇

We appreciate that all primary schools don't receive enough funding, but small rural schools in particular, rely on donations to help. We think this is a great way to contribute in a small way, to those communities through which we pass 😊

Class 3’s take on ‘is it cake’

Our art lessons come in many forms these days! Our mission this time was creating food fit for a feast but with various trips planned on our art days we had to do a little tweak and make it more achievable in the time we had. After a class meeting on how they wanted to tackle it, we thought we’d embrace our sweet teeth!

Class 3 have filled their bead jar and had their reward trip to the park. We took C4 too because they’ve worked really hard. 😅 😜 😊

Sports day was a blast and Green team won for the second consecutive year! Well done to everyone!
This year we finished it off nicely with our Colour Run where we raised over £1500. Thanks for all who donated earlier in the year. This has been postponed twice already but finally we got good weather 😅

Our Year 6 children had a blast! It’s a school tradition they all look forward to and it lived up to expectation! 🦆

Class 2 had a brilliant day at High Loanthwaite farm!

The children got stuck in! They helped to move sheep, gave the lambs medicine, watched the sheep being sheared, collected the wool and then marked sheep with paint. We also had time to explore the rest of the farm and brought some wool back to use in the garden. 🐑

Class 3 spent a wonderful afternoon with Big Adventure making their way up Tilberthwaite in beautiful sunshine. Best way to spend a hot afternoon! ☀️

Class 1 adventured to Coniston Hall Farm to watch Peter sheep shearing last week. The children asked brilliant questions and we learned about how much the wool costs, where it goes, what it’s used for and how many can get sheared at a time. We really appreciate the time Peter and Nicola gave us and what hard work it is! 😅
Following that we had a picnic and walk to Torver jetty to meet Coniston Launch for our return journey. This is a free service to school and our little legs were extremely grateful, thank you 🤩 🙏

We had a fantastic whole school day of sport with HP Activities and Cumbria Cricket Limited on Thursday. A day celebrating the World Cup with cricket and alternative sports days games too. Great preparation for National school sports week ⚽️ 🏏
