St Sunday Sky Race, my first SkyRace! โฐ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฅ
And my first race back since my disc injury early last year.
Recovery wasnโt quick, it wasnโt linear, and it took a lot of persistence, patience, and determination.
Itโs been a slow and steady rebuild, one step at a time.
To stand on a start line fit and healthy was something I didnโt take for granted. To cross the finish line feeling strong, smiling, and as 3rd female reminded me just how far Iโve come.
A small flare-up a couple of days after the race was a reminder that recovery isnโt always a straight line, even when things are going well. Setbacks are just part of the journey and Iโm choosing to see this as another opportunity to listen, learn, and build more resilience.
The biggest thing Iโm taking away from this is that Iโve already achieved something I once wondered if Iโd ever do again: training consistently week after week having great fun, feeling strong, returning to racing, and completing a technical SkyRace.
Progress isnโt about never having setbacks. Itโs about building the capacity to handle them, trusting the process, and learning how to adapt along the way.
With extra rest and recovery Iโm feeling some good improvements. Iโm hoping to get back to stacking more great training on top of this incredible experience and already looking forward to the next mountain adventure โฐ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
