Well That’s a Wrap , we have closed the doors of wriggles and Giggles childminding for the last time 🥹
But we will be continuing our journey at our amazing new provision Wriggles and Giggles Day Nursery
For years I’ve dreamed of having my very own Nursery in our village just to be able to offer our families the best childcare and support on the childcare market .. with the help from my Mum ( Gina) here I am living that dream , got so much support from the local authority/ Ofsted and the community , were absolutely overwhelmed 🌟

weve had loads of positive feedback and currently 53 children on roll for spring term with waiting lists into late 2026
Thankyou everyone so much for making this happen 🙏🏻
To our staff and parents we can’t wait to get going on this exciting journey and Thankyou for choosing us ❤️❤️ xx

Can all final invoices for November and December be paid today please these have been sent via baby days and are now overdue

If your child is unwell please keep them home
If they need calpol to get them through the day they shouldn’t be in setting

This time of year there’s lots or nasty bugs and we want to make sure everyone is well to celebrate Christmas with there families 🎅

As we lead up to Christmas the time everyone wants to enjoy especially the children and with lots of nasty bugs about for the next few weeks we are changing our sickness policy slightly we are implementing these changes to prevent the children and they’re families becoming ill and also my own family so we hopefully can all have an healthy Christmas 🎅
From Monday 25th November 2025
With advice from the local authority / public health
If you child needs calpol to get them through the day or before they come we unfortunately won’t accept them into setting and ask you keep them home unless this is due to things such as teething
Giving calpol can sometimes mask symptoms and therefore there is a risk of them spreading whatever it is they have
We will only give calpol now if you child becomes unwell in our care and desperately needs medication
We will accept common cold but only if they’re snot is light or clear ( Not bright green as this indicates infection ) and that they are happy and playful
Sickness and diarrhoea 3 days clear from the last bout before they return and if any family members have it same please again incase it’s brought into setting
High fever 🤒 stay home until feeling better
And if you child is genuinely just unwell please consider that they most likely will want to be at home with they’re parents / carers in there home comforts not here it’s unfair to them , us and others here that need our care and attention too
I always think would I want to go out if I felt like that and if the answer is no my children don’t go to school and I think that’s the right approach

Admission to Reception Classes and Year 3 in Junior Schools – September 2025

Closing Date: 15 January 2025

The School Admissions Team have already sent letters to parents/carers advising them to apply now (if they haven’t already done so). We are also now asking for schools to remind parents/carers in their communications to families of the importance of completing their online application by the closing date - 15 January 2025. The online application facility can be found at www.doncaster.gov.uk/admissions

Parents who apply late (after this closing date) are less likely to be offered a place at one of their preferred schools.

Parents 🚨 Just a reminder that we finish for Christmas holidays 13th December we will return Tuesday 7th January at the new building
If you wish to come and look around before hand those that haven’t been already please just let us know and we will nip over with you at some point
I will be doing end of term reports over the next 2 weeks hopefully 😊

Also please remember we are asking for donations of new toys , colouring books , selection boxes ect for our Christmas toy appeal and toiletries , chocolates , biscuits ect to make up care packages for our elderly residents at rowena house some of our older children will help deliver these
Dig in your cupboards ask friends and family anything is appreciated

Polite reminder any children with sickness or diarrhoea or both should not return to setting until at least 48 hours after the last bout , we advise 3days to be safe , this current norovirus is highly contagious and we are finding it’s taking around a week to clear , we appreciate you keeping your children home when they are unwell to keep us , my family and the other children from catching it , same reasoning behind me asking children to stay home when we are ill or my children are , please read our sickness policy or ask if you are unsure
Lots of nasty illness around
If we feel you child is too Poorly to be here they will be sent home !

Parents of children in setting tomorrow please check your baby days 🙂

We are advising that if you can get alternative childcare for the day or keep your child home please do so , il be off tomorrow as Adley has a really nasty case of Norovirus he’s been non stop 🤮💩 since 1:30am bum on toilet head in bucket and still now I would hate to spread this to our children and families it’s really not nice ,

Gina and macy will still come and work for those that need care and have no alternative it’s no problem but Please just let me know so I know to tell them both
