📢 Bank Holiday Reminder 📢

A little reminder to all of our parents that Monday 31st August is a Bank Holiday, so the nursery will be closed for the day. 🌸

We will reopen as normal on Tuesday 1st September and look forward to welcoming everyone back! 💛🌱

☕️✨ A Little Café Fun! ✨☕️
Our toddlers enjoyed some lovely pretend play in our café today, having a cup of tea and exploring the café experience. 🫖💕
Through this simple and enjoyable activity, the children were developing so many important skills:
🗣️ Communication & Language – talking, listening, using new words and engaging in conversations.
🤝 Personal, Social & Emotional Development – sharing, taking turns, building confidence and enjoying social interactions.
👐 Physical Development – developing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills as they held cups, poured and served.
🧠 Understanding the World – making connections with familiar experiences and learning about everyday life in a café.
🎭 Expressive Arts & Imagination – using pretend play to recreate real-life experiences and develop their imagination.
It was wonderful to see the toddlers chatting, pretending, sharing and having lots of fun while learning through play! ☕️🥰

🎨✨ Little Artists, Big Learning! ✨🎨
Today, the children enjoyed getting creative through painting! 🖌️🌈 As they explored colours, textures and different ways of making marks, they were developing so many important skills.
🎨 Physical Development: Strengthening fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and pencil/brush control.
🧠 Cognitive Development: Exploring colours, making choices, experimenting and developing problem-solving skills.
💬 Communication & Language: Talking about their artwork, sharing ideas and learning new vocabulary.
❤️ Personal, Social & Emotional Development: Building confidence, expressing feelings and taking pride in their creations.
🎭 Creative Development: Using their imagination and expressing themselves freely through art.
Every brushstroke is a learning opportunity! 🌟 We love seeing the children’s creativity, confidence and curiosity grow through hands-on experiences. 💕🖌️

🌱💚 A special goodbye! 💚🌱

Today we said goodbye to one of our lovely Little Acorns as they start their next big adventure! 🥹

Thank you so much for the beautiful gifts for our team and the very thoughtful “Thank You for Helping Me Grow” seeds. 🌸 It really means so much to us!

We will miss you lots and wish you the very best for your next adventure! 🌈💚

📚🐭 The Gruffalo & Wooden Spoon Fun! 🥄
Our babies and toddlers had a lovely time listening to Miss Amanda read The Gruffalo today! They enjoyed looking at the colourful pictures, listening to the story and joining in with the excitement. 📖✨
Afterwards, they explored our wooden spoons, using their little hands to touch, hold, tap and investigate them. 🥄👶 Such a wonderful sensory experience, encouraging curiosity, exploration and fine motor skills through play! 💕
