ABC at The Mill - Children's Day Nursery

☀️ With the warm weather set to continue this week, we’re taking extra steps to keep our children safe, happy and comfortable at nursery.

Please send your child in lightweight, weather-appropriate clothing, along with:
💧 A named water bottle
🧢 A sun hat or cap
☀️ Sunscreen applied before arrival, plus a labelled bottle for reapplication throughout the day.

We’ll be encouraging plenty of drinks, making use of shaded areas, and adapting activities during the hottest parts of the day. We will be closely monitoring room temperatures throughout the day and taking additional measures to keep our environments as cool as possible. This includes the use of fans and airconditioning where available. We are keeping blinds closed during peak temperatures, reducing unnecessary lighting, and adapting routines and activities to ensure children remain comfortable.

☀️ With the weather warming, please can we kindly remind all parents and carers to send children in with:

🧢 A named sun hat
🧴 Sun cream already applied before nursery (with a labelled bottle in their bag for reapplication)
👕 Appropriate cool clothing suitable for outdoor play

Join us for five weeks of fun for babies and toddlers aged 4 months–2 years.

Enjoy themed sessions including stories, rhymes, messy play, teddy bears’ tea parties and more.

A great chance for little ones to explore, play and make friends, while parents and carers discover our nursery and team meet other local families, share experiences and build new friendships within the community.

❤️ Aren’t they lovely? ❤️
We’ve enjoyed so many wonderful experiences this week, all inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach.

From creating some very special artwork, both indoors and out, to dinosaur adventures, bubbles, sand play, bike riding and making music together.
The children are definitely settled into the nursery now and are flourishing, growing in confidence as they explore and engage with the world around them.

We’d like to thank Jane for everything she has done to support the opening of our new nursery in Congleton and wish her all the very best for the future.

We’re excited to welcome Kim as our Nursery Manager. With her wealth of experience, alongside our dedicated team and hands on Directors, we will continue to provide the very best care and education for our children and families.
