Could UK Water Companies Start Hiding Data?
The Retained EU Law Bill threatens to revoke the majority of EU law in this country by the end of 2023. One such piece of legislation that could disappear is the Environment Information Regulations (EIR) 2004. This, in conjunction with a landmark legal case won by independent charity group WildFish....

Recent article on single-use plastics - and the link with the fossil fuels giants. We need to transition away from 'virgin-petro-plastics' which are produced from oil, and move to a plant-based manufacture which can compost safely, quickly and easily. The perfect material is out there, but we're not there yet.

Fascinating video about how the waste is sorted from the Cheshire East recycling bin - remember there's lots of plastic items that CAN go in the recycling bin and leave it loose!

Our parent charity, Surfers Against Sewage has been campaigning against the release of sewage into our rivers and seas for decades.
The Labour Party have adopted our policies for a legally binding sewage reduction target by 2030.
As the government slash through environmental protections, this could be a silver lining.
Behind the scenes our campaigning and policy work is having a big influence. We couldn’t do this without your support. Our Ocean Activism is being heard. ✊
At the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool yesterday, the Shadow Environment Secretary, Jim McMahon, committed to introducing a legally binding target to end 90% of sewage discharges by 2030, mandatory monitoring of all sewage outlets, automatic fines for discharges, and a fixed-rate charge for any discharge point that is not monitored. Now is the time for other parties to step up to the plate and end sewage pollution. 🛑
Water companies – your era of polluting for profit is over.
