Colyton Grammar's WW1 centenary poppy project (organised by Mrs Burns Price) is a fantastic display of over 1000 poppies, hand made by pupils and staff at the school. Students dressed up to represent the boys of Colyton who lost their lives in the war. The displays have been used to help local primary schools learn about the war. Every year we hold a remembrance service and orate the school's war memorial. Colyton Remembers.

Whether you are a current or past student or member of their family, or a current or former member of staff – or someone just interested in Colyton Grammar School – we want to help you to stay in touch.

We have just published new website page www.colytongrammar.devon.sch.uk/alumni to make contact and collect details of past students, staff and friends of the school. The website aims to provide you with up-to-date information about the school, including the Head’s Blog which will keep you in touch with current developments. There is also information about former students and their experiences since leaving Colyton.

Please consider signing up for a free lifetime membership of Colyton Alumni and Friends – it makes it easier for us to keep you informed, and helps us to know about what former students have done since leaving. Maybe you would consider coming back to talk to existing students?

There are also opportunities for you to support the school financially, should you wish to do so – the section on Giving provides further details about how your gifts will be used to support the school, as well as information on how to give. If you are interested in leaving a legacy to the school, see Legacies – or contact [email protected] for further information.

If you are able to circulate the link to your contacts and encourage them to sign up, that would be good!

Many thanks,

Paul Evans
Headteacher
