The PTFA would like to thank everyone for all their support in fundraising for our wonderful school this year. We have raised over £14,000 with all your help and support. We couldn’t do it without our team of PTFA volunteers and all the generous donations from all our families so, thank you. And in case you’re wondering where all the money goes.......see pic for a list of where money has been spent this year.

We wish you all a wonderful summer and wish all the Year 6 Leavers good luck for their next chapter.

🧸 Mon - last day for Teddy Bear donations for the Teddy Trust (donation box outside main entrance).

🧺 Wed - Teddy Bears’ picnic - bring in your own Teddy and a blanket.

🍾 By Fri: Bottle donations for the village fête stall
🎪 Sat: Colwinston Village Fête. Meet at Yew Tree Close at 12.45pm for the float procession. Children encouraged to dress up in Country & Western style clothes.

We are delighted to be supporting The Teddy Trust, a charity that provides comfort by sending teddy bears to children facing difficult situations, their ethos being “Never underestimate the healing power of a teddy bear.”
If you would like to support this wonderful cause, we would be grateful for donations of traditional teddy bears (please note that the charity kindly ask for a teddy bear and not character/animal soft toys as these won’t be accepted). Donations can be either pre-loved or newly purchased teddies. A donation box will be available outside of school reception for you to drop off any teddy bear donations up until the 7th July.

PTFA will be selling refreshments all day and be hosting a BBQ on the village field from 3pm.

🚴‍♂️🥭🍓 This week we welcomed SWIG Smoothie Bikes to school! Every child had the chance to choose a tropical or berry smoothie, freshly made by the ‘Swig Squad’. They loved becoming riding instructors, motivating their friends to pedal faster and joining in with the shaky dance countdown! 🎉

This event culminates the Senedd’s Juice Blast project.

Over the last six months, children have enjoyed mystery boxes, smoothie parties and lots of healthy fun.

This has all been made possible thanks to funding from Waitrose Community Matters.

Our school now has all the equipment needed to continue the project next year.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to make this possible!
