Some of the team got together today, to try the delicious food from The Bistro by Sis & Co. Highly recommended.

Nursery is having lots of improvements made and the team are getting everything ready for September.

We hope that you are all enjoying these last few weeks of holiday and look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

We know that many of you are off for exciting travels and days out over the Summer and we would love to see your adventures. Over the next few weeks we will be posting a variety of destinations (linking with our curriculum theme of journeys). School may be closed but learning and cultural experiences never end….

And that’s a wrap on the Newtown Buddies visits before our the Newtown 3-4 children join Park Primary’s reception class in September. We can’t wait to see what September brings and see those friendships develop ever more!

Many of you know that we have been wishing Louise well in her retirement this week. Sadly, we will also be saying goodbye to Kim tomorrow too. Kim is leaving to pursue a career in Nursing and will start her studies in September. Thank you for everything Kim from all of the staff and children at Newtown, we wish you every success in your new venture.

🌟 Exciting News for Our Newtown Nursery Community! 🌟

At Newtown Nursery, we are passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and able to thrive. We firmly believe that all children deserve the very best opportunities to learn, grow, and reach their full potential, regardless of their individual needs.

We are therefore delighted to share that our commitment to inclusion and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) has been recognised by Lancashire County Council, who have awarded us Capital Inclusion Funding to further develop and enhance our provision.

This funding will enable us to create exciting new spaces designed to support the diverse needs of our children, including:

✨ A specialised Sensory Room to provide a calming, engaging, and stimulating environment.

✨ Dedicated Supported Learning Spaces where children can access tailored support and interventions.

✨ A beautiful Outdoor Sensory Garden that will encourage exploration, wellbeing, communication, and learning through nature.

These developments represent a significant investment in ensuring that every child at Newtown Nursery has access to the support and opportunities they need to flourish.

We are incredibly proud of this recognition and look forward to sharing updates as these exciting projects begin to take shape. Thank you to our wonderful staff, families, and wider community for supporting our vision of an inclusive nursery where every child belongs and succeeds.

What a lovely turnout for Miss Louise’s retirement afternoon! Staff old and new came to celebrate Louise and her wonderful tenure at Newtown. We wish her all the best and are excited to continue working with her as a Governor!
