Fluffy Ducks Childcare - Hygge In The Early Years accredited setting �Who Are We?�

Fluffy Ducks Childcare has been awarded the HYGEE IN THE EARLY YEARS ACCREDITED SETTING STATUS. We have been established since 2000.

We are also members of Forest Childcare Association, encouraging play and learning outdoors. We are a home from home setting where children learn to explore, be curious, learn new ways of play. We encourage children to become independent , we learn through play and embrace the outdoors as much as possible. We draw on various approaches within the setting including The Curiosity Approach, Reggio Em

ilia and Montessori. We believe that spending time outdoors is very important. The children go outdoors here every day, no matter what the weather because we believe that fresh air and wide open spaces are good for them! We have an amazing fully enclosed back garden that the children can access. We also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas and nature reserves and we visit these and other places on a regular basis. We explore nature, loose parts, open ended play. We use natural and authentic resources in our setting. Being a Hygge setting we use an approach of warmth and cosy, creating awe and wonder to create an inviting area for our children. Look through our albums and see how we explore together, making memories to last a lifetime. Fluffy Ducks Childcare is OFSTED regulated and are accepted by Lancashire County Council to provide early years free 2, 3 and 4yr old funding, offering both 15 and 30hrs to eligible parents. We enjoyed a fantastic day today exploring the "Room on the Broom Trail". The forest is beautiful and the children loved the wooden dens. We shared the story together, surrounded by nature and played with the plush characters. We rode sticks, using them as brooms. At the end we enjoyed a picnic and had fun in the play area 🤩
