We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievements of our award-winning school garden and the dedication of our pupils, staff, volunteers, and wider school community. 🌱💚
Over the past two years, our garden has gone from strength to strength, earning recognition at both regional and national level:
🌟 2024 RHS Britain in Bloom Northwest Regional Award – Gardening with Young People
🌟 2025 RHS Britain in Bloom Northwest Regional Award – Gardening with Young People
🏆 Trevor Leese Award – Recognising our outstanding horticultural and environmental work
🌼 The Young Bloomers Award – Presented to our talented Head Gardener, Sophia
🌿 NWIB Award for Outstanding Contribution – Presented to Mrs Nelson
👑 National RHS Community Awards 2025 – Gardening with Young People Award 🎉 OVERALL UK WINNER! 🎉
These awards reflect the passion, hard work, creativity, and teamwork shown by everyone involved in our garden project. The garden has become a wonderful outdoor classroom where children learn about nature, sustainability, food growing, biodiversity, and caring for the environment.
A HUGE thank you to Mrs Nelson, Mr Lomax and everyone who has supported us on this journey. Together, we are helping our children develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of the natural world.

🌟 WE ARE SO PROUD! 🌟
We are celebrating the incredible achievements of our Year 6 pupils and the outstanding KS2 SATs results at Trawden Forest Primary School! 🎉
📚 Reading: 83% (National Average 75%)
📝 GPS: 87% (National Average 74%)
✏️ Writing: 80% (National Average 73%)
➕ Maths: 90% (National Average 75%)
⭐ 80% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, significantly above the national average of 63%!
There is even more to celebrate: 🌟 20% achieved Greater Depth in Writing 🌟 GPS Average Scaled Score: 105.6 🌟 83% achieved the expected standard in Science
These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work, determination and resilience of our amazing pupils, the dedication and expertise of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families.
We could not be prouder of everything our children have achieved. These results reflect not only academic success but also the STAR values that shine through our school every day: Successful, Trustworthy, Adaptable and Remarkable.
