A sock, a plastic tube, a hair bobble, water and Fairy Liquid... simple materials that created so much excitement and wonder!

The children were amazed by the outcome as they experimented and explored.

A fantastic sensory and STEM activity that encouraged curiosity, language development, prediction and lots of fun as the children discovered how bubbles can be made in different ways. 🫧✨

Congratulations to all the winners of the Ballymoney Show Art Competition! 🎨🏆

It has been a busy few weeks preparing all of the wonderful artwork and crafts, but we got there in the end. We are incredibly proud of all the children for their creativity, hard work, and enthusiasm. Well done to everyone who took part and represented us so brilliantly! 🌟👏

From outdoor adventures and games to making memories with friends, the children had a fantastic day enjoying the sunshine. Their happy faces, endless energy and joyful laughter made it a truly special day. 💛😊🌞

Our Daddy Day was a wonderful success, and we would like to thank all the daddies, grandads, and uncles who joined us for such a special morning. It was lovely to see the children sharing songs, crafts, bun decorating, and football with their special visitors.

We received some fantastic feedback from families:

We are recruiting a SEND 1:1 Pre-School Assistant (17.5 hours per week), starting September 2026.

This role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a child throughout the preschool day, helping to implement individual support plans, encourage communication and social interaction, and promote engagement in play and learning.

You will:
✨ Support the child’s development through structured activities and positive reinforcement
✨ Assist with communication strategies (e.g. visual supports, Makaton, PECS/AAC)
✨ Help with personal care needs in a respectful and safe manner
✨ Encourage independence in daily routines
✨ Support emotional regulation and wellbeing
✨ Work closely with the team to ensure full inclusion in all activities
✨ Maintain accurate records and ensure a safe, nurturing environment

📣 Update on Disturbances

EA is grateful to all schools and youth organisations for their support to children and young people at this time.

We are all agreed maintaining the education of children and young people is a vital priority. In that context, while we are aware of unverified social media claims about further planned protests today, a blanket decision regarding closures for the whole of NI would be neither practical nor proportionate.

Individual school leaders should continue to closely monitor the situation in their local area, and the commuting pathway for staff and pupils, and react as necessary and appropriate. We acknowledge that some schools may have to take individual decisions - for example, based on PSNI advice or local circumstances.

We will continue to keep you updated.
