🌈 Welcome Back to School! 🎒✨

We are so excited to welcome all our Castleroe Primary School pupils and families back for another fantastic year of learning, laughter and adventure! 💙

🏫 First Day Back
Our first day back is Tuesday 1st September.
⏰ School starts at 8.50am
🚸 Pupils may be dropped off at the school gate from 8.30am.
We can’t wait to see everyone! 😊

🚪 Access to the School Building
To help us keep all of our pupils safe and secure, visitors should please enter the school building through the main school entrance.
Thank you for helping us keep our school safe. 💙

🍎 School Lunches
P1 pupils: Please bring a packed lunch on Tuesday.
🍽️ School meals should be booked in advance through ParentPay.
As we now offer a choice of meals each day, please remember to book your child’s meals ahead of time.

💙 Welcome Back, Castleroe Families! 💙

The school bags are ready, uniforms are labelled and a new school year is about to begin! Our staff have been busy preparing for the year ahead, creating lots of learning opportunities that are meaningful and engaging!

But alongside all the excitement of coming back to school, we recognise that every child settles back in at their own pace.

Some children will walk through the doors full of excitement.
Others may feel nervous, tired or a little unsure.
Some will be eager to see their friends.
Others may take a little time to find their feet again.

And all of that’s perfectly okay. 🌱

Over the year, our children will learn far more than what is written in their books.
They will learn how to persevere when something is difficult;
how to work things out;
how to solve problems;
how to navigate friendships;
how to recover from mistakes and most importantly, how to believe in themselves!

There will be brilliant days — and of course, there will be days that feel a bit harder.

What matters is that our children know they have people around them who will listen, encourage them and help them through both. Our staff are here to support your child every step of the way, no matter what each day may bring.

So as we begin a new year, let’s celebrate progress rather than perfection, effort rather than getting everything right, and the little steps that help our children become confident, capable and caring young people.

To help keep things simple and affordable, we provide all stationery your child will need — so there’s no need to buy any additional stationery, we want to keep your back to school expenses as reasonable as we can.

All you need to provide is:

💧 Water Bottle
🥾 Welly Boots

Please make sure ALL items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. 💙

Please note, as well as new applicants, parents/carers of children who are currently in receipt of Free School Meals and Uniform Allowance will need to apply again for the 2026/27 school year.

You will also find details on eligibility and the supporting documentation you will need to upload when making your application.
