Well done, everyone! We had a great rehearsal with the team yesterday. Choreography is well underway. We require full cast attendance on Wednesday. We will be working on finalising choreography for the Horace Green scene. Continue to check the SOR Google Classroom for information.

Rowing Dinner Announcement:

Tickets are now on sale from Jeremy and the team of volunteer coaches for our annual Rowing Club Dinner and Awards Ceremony. We have a truly exceptional guest speaker Miss Lauren Henry MBE, apart from being an Olympic gold medalist she became World Champion last weekend. All rowers, families and supporters of CGS rowing are invited to attend. The details are on the ticket attached to this post. Please contact us in good time as in previous years we were over subscribed and some people were disappointed.

Borneo Phase 2 🌿

Borneo Phase 2 has been an incredible adventure!

Our students crossed Bengoh Dam by sampan longboat, completed a two-day trek through the beautiful Bengoh Highlands, and visited the stunning Susung Waterfall. They also enjoyed a two-night stay in Kampung Nyegol, where they took part in a local cooking class using jungle ingredients and experienced the rich musical traditions of the Bidayuh Tribe. What an unforgettable experience!

First Day Meeting Locations

Welcome Back!

We are so excited to see all our pupils for the start of the new school year.

To help everyone settle in smoothly, please head directly to your designated meeting locations when you arrive:

Wednesday 26th August, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Yr. 8 – Go straight to your Tutor room (the same room used on 25th August)
Yr. 9 – Front section of the Humphreys Hall
Yr. 10 - Back section of the Humphreys Hall
Yr. 11 – Gym

Thursday 27th – All Key Stage 4 & Post 16.

Please note that Year 11 will be on-site from 9:00am to 1:00pm (Inspire Education Study Skills), while all other year groups will finish at 12:00pm.

Yr. 11 – As directed by their Tutor on 26th August
Yr. 12 – Senior Canteen
Yr. 13 - Gym
Yr. 14 – Sixth form common room


Canteen facilities in August

There will be the usual break time canteen service available in school from 26th August and lunch available in the canteen from Friday 28th August 2026.

Pastoral Leaders, Assistant Pastoral Leaders and Tutors will be at these locations waiting to greet you. Staff will also be around the campus to guide anyone who needs help.

Our first full day of the new term is Friday 28th August. This will be a standard, full school day for every year group. Please ensure all pupils arrive on time (8:55am), in full school uniform, and with the necessary equipment for their classes.

1st Day at CGS

It was a great pleasure to welcome our new Year 8 pupils to the school today.

162 pupils arrived from 33 different primary schools but we are proud to call them all Coleraine Grammar School pupils now.
