Parents/Carers of Year 10 and 11 students, we are hosting our post-16 Providers event on Tuesday 13 October 2026. Students and their families will be able to speak to a number of local colleges and sixth-forms to get advice on their next steps after Five Acres High School.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our Year 11 parents and carers on Thursday 8 October at 6pm in 10 Block. The evening will focus on practical ways to support revision at home, including effective retrieval strategies, subject-specific guidance, revision resources, PPE assessment manifests and the PPE timetable.

Our aim is simple: to give parents/carers the strategies and resources they need to help Year 11 feel prepared and confident as they approach their PPEs and GCSEs.

It has been incredible to see Year 7's attendance. On Wednesday last week we had 100% attendance in Year 7, which is amazing to have this far into the term. We have not had a day when Y7 attendance has slipped below 96%. Thank you so much for the support of parents/carers in getting students in every day. What a start to their secondary school journey - grasping those opportunities, every single day.

It’s been another brilliant week for our Academies and Societies, with so many students making the most of the opportunities available to them.

A special shoutout to our boys’ football teams, who have made a fantastic start in the FA Cup! 🏆

⚽ Year 7 – Bye into Round 2
⚽ Year 8 – 5–2 win against Wyedean
⚽ Year 9 – 3–2 win against Wyedean

That means all three of our KS3 teams are through to Round 2, with some already preparing for an away trip to Bristol!

Our Enterprise, Darts, Pottery, Lego and Pickleball groups now have waiting lists, but there are still unlimited spaces across our other Academies and Societies. Students can simply turn up, get involved and be added to the register straight away! There’s no reason no to get involved!

Whether your passion is sport, creativity, competition, teamwork or trying something completely new — this is where you belong.

We have made some improvements to our library, students can now search our stock for a book they would like to borrow, reserve online and pop in to collect it.
