Just incase you missed it. I dropped two versions of this little ditty on Friday. It's great finally having it out there and I'm stocked that so many of you seem to be enjoying it. Please do check it out if you haven't already and any sharing, liking following and feedback would be massively appreciated. Thanks Stu x

New music day is here! If you haven't checked out my new release Healing Water please follow the links. It features two versions of the song and beautiful artwork from the very talented Louisa Charrington.

Riff/solo of the day. G’n’R-Nightrain. I’ve really enjoyed teaching this classic again. I must have been playing it on & off for 27+ years now but it just never feels old.

Riff of the day! Look at that concentration face 😅 Another challenging little banger! This time from Davey Graham. A true pioneer of modern acoustic guitar.

Riff of the day! I always enjoy teaching this challenging little banger from Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham’s playing is as amazing as always.

Riff of the day! Had fun teaching this lil beaut today. Hadn’t really been aware of 30 Years To Life-Slash MK&C until a student asked to learn it but the solo gave me the real old time G’n’R feels.

I always knew one day I would be asked to teach this song. Today is that day.

Hi everyone!

Many thanks. Almost three weeks into this craziness and I am pleased to say that I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received for video based lessons.

Most of my existing students have made the jump with me and I’ve also had some newcomers and old students returning.

The challenge of adapting has been keeping me pretty busy but I’m grateful for it and I’m pleased to say it’s all beginning to feel quite normal now.

It's nice to feel like I'm helping my students to keep positive and develop or at least help some of their parents maintain an ounce of sanity through all of this.

I look forward to seeing you all in person again in good time and sharing a coffee with you but in the mean time keep keep practising and keep safe.

Well that’s the penultimate lesson of the week done. The swap over to video lessons has been an interesting and fun challenge. I’ll admit to missing all the free coffee and cakes but I think the cats prefer having me at home. I feel lucky to have the set up to offer them.
