We have had a wonderfully busy week, we created beautiful Father's day cards for our Daddy's to show how much we love them 💙
We have also been exploring the summer season this week with lots of fun learning activities.
We had great fun using our bodies to run races over on the field.
The lettuce we had grown in our garden was ready to eat this week so we cut some and enjoyed eating it with our snack.🙂
We also created our very own England flags 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to sing and cheer the team on!

We are delighted to announce that Amy is taking over the role of Preschool Manager in September. Amy has been Deputy Manager for a number of years, she has a wealth of experience in early years and is extremely dedicated to helping our little learners grow, play, and thrive.
Amy has also taken on the role of SENCO.
We wish her every success as she takes over leading the team.

We have enjoyed lots of wonderful learning opportunities this week, we have been exploring music and dance and had fun creating our very own musical shaker and also making music with our lovely new musical instruments, plus lots of other great learning activities.
Our older children are getting ready for their next adventure ....starting big school! they have enjoyed lots of new learning experiences to help get them ready during this week.

Thank you so much to all the Parents and Grandparents that came to our parent partnership this morning we had such a lovely time and hope you enjoyed it as much as we all did 😃

It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Paula is stepping down as Manager - but not retiring just yet 😊.
Paula has been an integral part of Layer Preschool for almost 40 years, over 30 of them at the helm. Her dedication, leadership, and warmth have left a lasting impact on our team and the many children and families who have attended preschool over the years. Paula will hand over the role at the end of this Summer term and we will announce her replacement in due course.

Paula brings so much dedication and heart to preschool every single day and we are pleased this will continue as she will remain as a key person from September.

Layer Preschool Committee would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Paula for her dedication, hard work and love for her role 🥰

Welcome back everyone 😃
What a great week we have had! we have been learning all about being safe!
We focused on our golden rules and chatted about how they help us to be safe at Preschool.
We also had a lovely walk around the village where we practiced our road safety as we crossed the roads. We walked to the building site to see how they keep safe there! it was really exciting 😃
We also practised the mouse game we were really good at this ...we had to crawl and be as quiet as little mice 🐁
Plus lots of other fun and learning throughout the week!

This week we have been exploring all about transport, we enjoyed taking part in various fun activities.
We were also really creative when we celebrated world Bee day🐝
We also saw one cocoon turn into a beautiful butterfly 🦋 and then watched him happily fly away 😊

This week we have had a very busy time learning all about people that help us!😊
We explored how firefighters, policeman, doctors nurses, farmers, and builders help us and also look after us!
We had so much fun with lots of great learning activities and have been very creative on the craft table 😀
As part of what firefighters do to keep us safe - Jo demonstrated to us all how to be safe when using fire 🔥 when we use our fire pit in the garden this is a regular activity we do on our Forest School sessions 😃. Thank you so much Jo 😊
