Fionadrive - Fiona Adi Driving-Coach That work has given me deep insight into the real-world behaviours and emotional patterns behind driving offences. I’m a big believer in ongoing development.

Digital Creator, Workshop Designer (Driver Training), NDORS Licence holder (NSAC, NMAC, SCD & WDU), Coaching & CCL Trainer, Standards Check Trainer, and Training Aid (Car & Diagram Set Designer) I became an ADI in 2002 and I’ve been delivering the full suite of NDORS courses — including Speed Awareness, Safe and Considerate Driving, Motorway Awareness, and What’s Driving Us — since 2012, both in the classroom and online. Beyond learner drivers, I’ve worked extensively with full licence holders and spent several years delivering the well-known Coaching for Driver Education course. I’ve also created and led workshops on in-car coaching techniques like Scaling and Mind Mapping, designed specifically for driving instructors who want to deepen their practice. I’ve completed numerous Behavioural Change programmes and am a proud DriverMetrics Accredited Coach. I also deliver Part Two and Part Three rescue training, Standards Check preparation, and both in-car and classroom CPD across Essex, Suffolk, and Norfolk — including multiple workshops for local ADI associations. And yes — I even designed and sell my own interactive in-car training aid, because I know how much impact the right tools can have in the moment.

... "so it appears I was right... 'MindScaling' is worthy of recognition..."
I cherish reviews like these... I thank you so much, Richard! 🥰

I think they clarify things for me:.. that Professionals, often with over 20 years of experience, value the versatility of a tool like Mind Mapping (and MindScaling') in the same ways as I do.
.. that the Zoom environment I provide is supportive and safe.
.. that ADIs and PDIs can support each other in 'community'.
.. that my initial goal of linking my own 'Scaling' Workshop with Mind Mapping, was, in fact, the super versatile tool that I intended it to be.
I even had a name for the combined workshop!!
"MindScaling"

Two brilliant tools designed by everyone else... brought together, my way, by me.

some people are brilliant with words
some people are brilliant with maths
some people are brilliant with the hands and skills
some people are brilliant with care

and I can use a bit of a 'this' and bodge it with a bit of that and turn the whole thing into a game.... (Gamification) - but that's a whole other workshop 🤣🤣🤣

It's probably not the age group most people think... One hundred drivers a day have had drink-drive endorsements added to their licences in the past three years.
(According to new research from road safety charity IAM RoadSmart). [Reference link below]

In terms of age, the stats show young professionals aged 25-39 years are the worst offenders, with some 48,000 endorsements. They are closely followed by 40,000 ‘midlifers’ aged 40-65 years.

This compares to 15,000 drivers aged 17-24 years, and just 3,000 in the over 65s category. The oldest person to receive a drink-drive endorsement (DR20) was 91 when this was added to their licence in 2023.

Figures obtained via a Freedom of Information request to the DVLA show there were 108,000 drink-drive related endorsements added to individual licences between 2022 and 2024.

I was sad to read this - so many people caught... but how many others are out there? The risks are too high.
