Philip Morant School and College

Congratulations to Freddie, one of our head prefects. He achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE Spanish and GCSE Photography among his 10 strong pass grades, and will be joining our Sigma Sixth to study A levels in Photography, PE and Psychology.

Congratulations to our top performers in Y11: Matthew, Alex and Robert. They each gained an impressive seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s. Alex is off to Colchester Royal Grammar School to study Biology, Chemistry, History and PE. Matthew and Robert are among our highest achieving STEM students with Grade 9 in Maths, Further Maths and all three Sciences. Out of the 13 students who took Further Maths as an additional subject, five gained Grade 9 in this subject, with 39 grade 9s achieved in total by this group of students.

Congratulations to all of our students on an excellent set of GCSE results this year. The progress they have made over their time at Philip Morant School and College and the excellent effort and determination they have shown is noticed and we are very proud of them all.

Congratulations to Freia who has just returned from winning the world BMX championships in Australia to collect her results. In her age groups she has twice been European champion and four times world champion. She has completed her studies at Sigma Sixth with a triple distinction* in sports coaching and development. She is now joining the olympic team. We are delighted that she found Sigma Sixth so helpful to support her as she achieves her dreams.

Congratulations Harley!

Congratulations to Harley who achieved a huge total of 5 A levels in Economics, History, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Achieving grades A, A, B, B, C he is off to Leicester University to study physics. Harley was part of the Sigma Sixth trip to Geneva where he got to spend his 18th birthday at the Hadron Collider at CERN - what a physicist treat! It has been a privilege to have Harley with us througout Philip Morant School and now completing his time at Sigma Sixth.

Congratulations to all of the students collecting A level and BTEC results today. It was a wonderful morning.
