Friday 31st July β€” The Story

πŸ’› This one took me a long time to be ready to share.
For years I struggled with my skin and complexion.
I tried different creams , diet and all sorts of products.
But nothing got to the root of it.

Louise Hay's teaching came to help β€” that skin conditions often carry the energy of feeling unsafe, of old shame, of not wanting to be fully seen by the world.
And I had to be really honest with myself.
Because the truth was β€” I didn't feel safe being seen. Not fully. Not as my whole, real, imperfect self.
I had spent so many years trying to present the right version of myself to the world. Saying the right things. Looking the right way. Making sure nobody saw the parts of me I was ashamed of.

And all of that effort β€” all of that hiding β€” was living in my skin.

When I started working with the affirmation β€” "I am safe to be me" β€” something began to shift. Not overnight. Slowly. Gently. Even the products started doing their magic πŸͺ„.

But my skin began to calm as I began to calm. As I began to accept myself. As I began to feel β€” for the first time β€” that it was truly safe to be seen. I'm not ashamed of my dark skin. I chose my parents and this body. Thank you body πŸ’•.

You are allowed to be seen, exactly as you are. Every part of you is worthy of love. πŸ’›

Wednesday 29th July β€” The Reflection

πŸ’› Something tender to sit with today...
Louise Hay believed that many skin conditions begin with one quietly devastating belief:
"It is not safe to be seen."
And for so many of us β€” that belief did not begin with us. It was handed to us.
Perhaps someone made you feel embarrassed as a child. Perhaps you were laughed at, criticised, or made to feel that who you were was somehow wrong or too much.
Perhaps you learned that showing your true self β€” your real feelings, your real opinions, your real face β€” was dangerous.
And so your skin β€” your very outermost layer β€” began to react. To flare. To protect you from a world that once felt unsafe.

Today sit gently with these questions:
🌿 When did you first learn that being fully seen was risky?
🌿 Whose opinion of you do you still carry on your skin today?
🌿 What would it feel like to be completely comfortable in your own skin β€” fully, unapologetically yourself?

You don't have to share your answers here. Just let yourself feel them with compassion and without judgement.

And then breathe and say:
✨ "I am beautiful. I am worthy. I release all old shame with love and I step into the world exactly as I am."

Week 5 β€” Skin Conditions
Theme: Feeling Threatened, Old Shame & Anxiety
πŸ“… Monday 27th July β€” The Teaching

πŸ’› Week 5 of "Your Body Is Talking β€” Are You Listening?" is here.

This week we are exploring skin conditions β€” and what Louise Hay believed they were really trying to tell us.

Your skin is your largest organ. It is the boundary between you and the world. It is what you show to everyone around you β€” and Louise Hay believed that is exactly why it carries so much emotional weight.
She taught that skin conditions β€” eczema, psoriasis, acne, rashes, hives β€” often reflect a feeling of being threatened, anxious, or unsafe. They can also carry old shame, the feeling of not wanting to be seen, or a deep sensitivity to what others think of us

Ask yourself honestly:
πŸ”Έ Do you feel safe being fully seen by the world?
πŸ”Έ Are you carrying shame about something from your past?
πŸ”Έ Do you worry excessively about what others think of you?
πŸ”Έ Does criticism β€” even gentle criticism β€” cut very deeply?
πŸ”Έ Do you feel like you need to protect yourself from the world around you?

Your skin is not betraying you. It is protecting you the only way it knows how.
Begin today with this affirmation:

✨ "I am safe to be me. I release all that does not serve me with love. I am at peace in my own skin."

Place your hands gently on your face or arms. Breathe deeply and slowly.

Send love to every inch of your skin and say the affirmation three times. πŸ’›

πŸ’› **Crystals that love your gut as much as your soul...**

If your stomach has been unsettled, bloated, or just feeling off β€” your body might be asking for a little extra support. Here are four beautiful crystals that work with your digestive system and your energy at the same time.

🌟 **Citrine**
This one is a cleanser and an energiser all in one. It gets your digestion moving, helps detoxify the blood, and gives you that gentle nudge to get outside for a walk or do some movement even when you really don't feel like it. A little sunshine in crystal form. β˜€οΈ

🌿 **Moss Agate**
Think of this as your body's quiet protector. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties that can ease common digestive discomfort, and it is said to boost the immune system β€” keeping viruses away before they even get a chance to take hold.

🧑 **Amber**
Amber is connected to the Solar Plexus chakra β€” the energy centre that governs your stomach, kidneys, bladder and liver. Working with amber is said to support all of these organs together, gently encouraging your whole digestive system to function as it should.

β˜€οΈ **Sunstone**
My personal favourite for days when everything feels heavy. Sunstone is light, joyful, and uplifting. It is said to relieve stomach discomfort, boost metabolism, and stimulate your body's own natural healing powers β€” harmonising your organs through the Solar Plexus chakra.

If your gut has been struggling lately β€” remember that Louise Hay also taught us that digestive issues often carry the energy of **fear and not trusting life.**

So perhaps pair these beautiful crystals with today's affirmation:

✨ *"Life agrees with me. I digest all experiences with ease, joy and peace."*

Your body knows how to heal. Sometimes it just needs a little reminder. πŸ’›

**Which of these crystals calls to you today? Tell me in the comments.** πŸ‘‡

Friday 24th July β€” The Story

πŸ’› I want to share something with you today about worry and what it did to my body.
For a long time I was a worrier. Not just occasional worry β€” constant, low-level, relentless worry.
About money. About the future. About whether things would work out. About whether I was enough.
And my stomach? It was always unsettled. Always slightly knotted. I just thought that was normal. I thought everyone felt like that.

Louise Hay's teaching says that our stomachs reflect how we are digesting life. That fear and dread live in the gut. That the inability to trust creates physical tension in our digestive system.
And I realised , I had never truly trusted life. Not once.
I had been white-knuckling my way through every day, convinced that if I let go of the worry something terrible would happen. As if the worry itself was keeping me safe.

Louise Hay taught me something that changed everything:
"The point of power is always in the present moment."
Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right now β€” in this breath β€” I am safe.
I started working with the affirmation every morning. "Life agrees with me. I digest all experiences with ease and peace."

Slowly the knot in my stomach began to loosen. The constant low-level dread began to lift. And I began β€” for the first time β€” to actually enjoy my life rather than just endure it.
You don't have to carry fear in your body anymore. You are safe. Life is supporting you. πŸ’›

πŸ’› Something to sit with gently today...

Louise Hay believed that digestive problems are deeply connected to our relationship with fear and control.
So many of us were never taught how to process difficult emotions. Instead we were taught to push them down. Get on with it. Stay strong. Don't make a fuss.
And so our feelings β€” the ones we couldn't speak, couldn't process, couldn't release β€” went somewhere.
They went to our gut.
The digestive system is sometimes called our second brain β€” and science now agrees with what Louise Hay understood decades ago. Our gut and our emotions are deeply, powerfully connected.

Today sit gently with these questions:
🌿 What emotion are you finding hardest to digest right now?
🌿 Is there a situation in your life you are resisting rather than accepting?
🌿 What would it feel like to truly trust that life is working in your favour?
You don't have to have the answers. Just sit with the questions and breathe.

And then say:
✨ "I release all fear and dread. I trust the process of life completely. I am at peace."

Week 4 β€” Stomach & Digestive Issues
Theme: Fear, Anxiety & Unable to Process Life

The Teaching
πŸ’› Week 4 of "Your Body Is Talking β€” Are You Listening?" is here.
This week we are exploring stomach and digestive issues β€” and what Louise Hay believed they were really trying to tell us.
Louise taught that the stomach represents how we digest life β€” not just food, but experiences, emotions, situations, and change.
When we are holding fear, dread, or deep anxiety about something in our lives β€” our stomach is usually the first place that knows it.
That churning feeling before something difficult.
That knot that sits in your belly when something feels wrong.
That nausea when life feels completely out of control.
Ask yourself honestly:
πŸ”Έ Are you living with a low hum of worry that never quite switches off?
πŸ”Έ Is there a situation in your life you are dreading?
πŸ”Έ Do you find it hard to accept change or new experiences?
πŸ”Έ Do you feel like life is happening to you rather than for you?
Louise taught that when we learn to trust life β€” truly trust it β€” the body begins to relax and digest with ease.
Begin today with this affirmation:
✨ "Life agrees with me. I digest all new experiences with ease, joy and peace."
Place your hand gently on your stomach. Breathe slowly and deeply. Feel the warmth of your hand and say it three times. πŸ’›
