We LOVE a homemade playdough recipe!

Playdough is a simple thing to make at home and of course, fun to play with! Writing will be an essential skill learnt at school, so playing with playdough will build up your child’s finger muscles in readiness for holding a pencil. Please visit this link from our TLC website for a simple playdough recipe: https://www.tlc-essex.info/resource/playdough-recipe-developing-finger-muscles/

πŸŒΏπŸƒ A Wonderful Day Exploring Nature! πŸƒπŸŒΏ

Today our nursery children enjoyed a lovely nature walk, taking in the sights, sounds and textures of the great outdoors. Along the way, they carefully collected a variety of natural treasures, including leaves, twigs, flowers and stones. πŸŒΌπŸ‚

Back at nursery, we used reflective learning to think about our adventure and transform our collections into beautiful nature pictures. This creative activity encouraged the children to recall their experiences, share their observations and express themselves through art, while developing their imagination and fine motor skills. 🎨🌿

We love providing opportunities for our children to explore, discover and learn through meaningful experiences in nature. We can't wait for our next outdoor adventure! πŸ’š

Our Little Wings have been incredibly busy with their threading activity! 🧡✨

These engaging activities are a fabulous introduction to pre-writing skills for our toddlers. As they carefully thread the pipe cleaners, they're strengthening the small muscles in their hands and fingers, developing the control, coordination, and grip they'll need as they begin their early writing journey.

Threading is also a fantastic way to promote fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, concentration, patience, and problem-solving skillsβ€”all through fun, play-based learning!
