We know how exhausting these hot days can be and how it can affect concentration. We just wanted to send a little reassurance to all of our wonderful families to let you all know that we have air conditioning and fans to keep our classrooms cool and learning ongoing.

Celebrating Incredible Success: 52 Local Students Headed for Colcheste We are absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news with our community! This year, 52 of our students have been offered and have accepted places at the two prestigious Colchester Grammar Schools. Securing a place at these schools is an exceptional achievement, and we could not be prouder of our....

I would like to thank the 17 tutors in the local area who sent their students to our mock exam last Sunday at Marks Tey Parish Hall.

Along with our own students, we had 99 candidates who all had a great time.

The results are now ready and I look forward to welcoming your students at the next exam.

Colchester Royal Grammar School's opening evening is Tuesday 23rd June 2026 from 6:30pm.

This is a great opportunity to view our local boys grammar school. This is a world class school and is free to attend.

If your child is in primary school, we urge you to go and see what is on your doorstep.

52 student of our students this year were offered and accepted places at the two Colchester Grammar schools.

This is an extremely high pass rate for the local schools.

As a grammar school teacher, teaching for grammar school entry for 42 years, I am aware that some tutors claim vast numbers. These are often with online tuition and possibly going to schools all over the country.

Other grammar schools are much easier to get in to. For example, the Southend grammar schools only require extremely low grades if you live in the catchment.

Our grammar school attendees are genuine and honest for the Colchester area.
