Did you know that we support several charities including the RSPB?

We thought we would share one of their fun outdoor activities to do over the summer with your children. This will help broaden their experiences which they can then in turn use to help with their creative writing!

Make sure to follow our page as we will be sharing brilliant ideas every week.

It might be scorching outside, but inside we are cool and ready to learn thanks to our air con!

We know how exhausting these hot days can be and how it can affect concentration. We just wanted to send a little reassurance to all of our wonderful families to let you all know that we have air conditioning and fans to keep our classrooms cool and learning ongoing.

Whether your child is working hard on their 11+ journey or letting their confidence grow in Maths and English, their comfort and well-being are always our top priorities. We’ll keep the cold air flowing and the fresh water topped up!

We look forward to welcoming our students to the centre this week 📚

Stay safe in the sun and drink plenty of water everyone! 🌞

I would like to thank the 17 tutors in the local area who sent their students to our mock exam last Sunday at Marks Tey Parish Hall.

Along with our own students, we had 99 candidates who all had a great time.

The results are now ready and I look forward to welcoming your students at the next exam.

Colchester Royal Grammar School's opening evening is Tuesday 23rd June 2026 from 6:30pm.

This is a great opportunity to view our local boys grammar school. This is a world class school and is free to attend.

If your child is in primary school, we urge you to go and see what is on your doorstep.

52 student of our students this year were offered and accepted places at the two Colchester Grammar schools.

This is an extremely high pass rate for the local schools.

As a grammar school teacher, teaching for grammar school entry for 42 years, I am aware that some tutors claim vast numbers. These are often with online tuition and possibly going to schools all over the country.

Other grammar schools are much easier to get in to. For example, the Southend grammar schools only require extremely low grades if you live in the catchment.

Our grammar school attendees are genuine and honest for the Colchester area.
