Never let it be said that our buildings don't resemble their design stage visualisations... Exciting to see Lowestoft Town Council Lowestoft Town Hall Project starting to emerge from the scaffolding!

The upwards extension to the New Market Inn wing balances out the end of the block, creating much needed space for the Town Council and hiding some huge air source heat pumps on its roof. Awnings will be one of the last things to be installed bringing a splash of colour and keeping the south facing rooms cool.

Went at the invitation of to nosey around FAT's Blue House and celebrate the launch of their fantastic new book...and to our embarrassment found we are actually in it!

We had forgotten the enquiry from about photography...but there indeed it is, Sunspot for proudly putting Jaywick on the map of 'the best and most interesting buildings created in the 21st century so far.' 😳

It is a real honour to be among such brilliant company...we feel unworthy...thank you 🙏

Extreme heat... Everyone is talking about air conditioning but put some awnings on your building first, as we are doing at to stop big Victorian windows from cooking the inside. Crazy we don't do more external shading in this country. Should be permitted development.

We are super excited that the renovation of Trinity Square, just yards from our studio, is under way for ! Already are making fantastic progress.

Check out the tired 1970s brickwork before and after a Doff clean and raking out the bad cement mortar for new lime pointing so it can breathe...plus carefully cutting out and replacing damaged bricks. Railings lifted out surprisingly well for reuse, and the non-functional French drain around the Grade 1 listed church cleaned out ready for proper drainage to be installed so the building will no longer be so damp. Weldon Stone, specialist masons, have carefully lifted broken gravestones to be repaired and reset.

A very special project, looking after it with while is on mat leave!
