Introducing our Lower School Head Girls, Sophie and Evie!

Alongside their fellow Year 6 pupils, they did a fantastic job of welcoming and touring prospective families at our recent Open Mornings. Their confidence, warmth and enthusiasm shone through, and we couldn’t be prouder of the wonderful ambassadors they are for our school.

A huge thank you to all the girls for representing our school so brilliantly.

Well done to our Year 6 hockey teams following their matches against Holmwood House!

There were fantastic wins for the B Team, 5-0, and C Team, 3-0, alongside a determined performance from the A Team.

Congratulations to all the girls for their teamwork, commitment and sporting spirit, and to Camille, Shriya and Sophie, who were named Players of the Match.

An international Bake Off was on the menu for our European Day of Languages celebrations, with Senior School pupils creating a fantastic selection of delicious entries.

Well done to everyone who took part and helped to raise funds for the Catherine Bullen Foundation.

Our after-school Creative Baking Club also joined in the celebrations, creating Swedish-inspired muffins!

What a colourful Saturday at our PTA Colour Run!

From our tiniest Kindergarten runners to our Senior School pupils, everyone brought energy, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles to the Lower School playing field as they dashed through clouds of colour!

A huge thank you to our wonderful PTA and all the families who came along to cheer, volunteer and support the event. Another fantastic afternoon of colour, fun and community spirit!

Our Year 7 pupils embraced an action-packed trip to Essex Outdoors in Mersea, taking on high ropes, zip wires and obstacle courses with determination and team spirit.

A fantastic opportunity to build confidence, resilience and friendships as they begin their Senior School journey!

It’s lovely to see learning spilling naturally into play. Our Prep girls were practising their phonics without even realising it, singing “Aa, ants on my arm!” as they enjoyed the slide at break time.

Another busy week in our new Senior School co-curricular programme!

Whether building and programming in STEM Lego Robotics Club, developing musical talents in Vocal and Songwriting Club, or looking ahead in Post-16 Prep, our girls are embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm and positivity.

We are delighted to see the programme already becoming such a valued part of school life.

We're celebrating outstanding LAMDA success at St Mary's, with 111 pupils taking examinations last academic year and an incredible 98% achieving Distinction grades.

From Acting and Musical Theatre to Public Speaking and Speaking Verse and Prose, our pupils continue to demonstrate exceptional confidence, creativity and communication skills.

Here are some of the most recent Lower and Senior School pupils to receive their LAMDA results, who were presented with their certificates during assembly.

Congratulations to all who took part.

We are delighted to have launched our expanded Senior School Co-Curricular programme, with activities now running before, during and after the school day. From sport, performing arts and creative pursuits to leadership, practical skills and academic enrichment, girls are embracing a remarkable range of opportunities to discover new interests, develop their talents and grow in confidence. Whether taking part in hockey, dance and pickleball, exploring creativity through art, drama and jewellery making, or tackling challenges in robotics, engineering and business skills, there is something for every pupil. Just as importantly, clubs such as Book Club, Cinema Club, Minecraft and Calm with Colour provide valuable opportunities to connect, unwind and enjoy shared interests.
