Rainbow Preschool

We had a busy last few weeks before the half term break! We have watched our caterpillars turn into butterflies, have enjoyed playing in the garden, have had Vanessa in from Hartbeeps Colchester & Tendring, and on the last day of term it was so hot so we had a water fight with the children and the staff! I think the staff were wetter than the children!! Then we treated the children to an ice lolly for their snack.

We have lots coming up after half term, we have our annual beach trip to Walton on the Naze, we have more sessions with Kixx Colchester and Hartbeeps, and we are going to enjoy spending the last 7 weeks with our school leavers, most have been with us since they were 2, so going to be lots of tears when we have our graduation party at Go Bananas with them.

Many parents don't like their child getting dirty at nursery, but it is actually proof that they have been engaged in beneficial activities, explains Annette Rawstrone

We have been busy since we came back from half term! We had our annual visit to Hollow trees farm, we went with Kings coaches again and the children had a lovely time, as did the staff!

We have been enjoying having Kixx Colchester and Hartbeeps Colchester & Tendring come in to preschool, and the children love having Coach Connor from Kixx and Vanessa from Hartbeeps come in, they always get excited!

We have loved being in the garden using our construction area and messy area, water play, some of the girls even made a spa!
we have been very lucky with the weather so far!

We have made a few changes inside too, we now have a loose parts area, which the children are all enjoying creating lots of different activities and role play.

We have a new creative station with free access to lots of different crafts.

We will be introducing a playdough station soon! Where the children will make their own playdough!

We said an early goodbye to one of our children today, who is relocating to another part of the country, and we wish him all the best.

Lastly- we have a new resident magician! Gabby has been doing some magic for the children and they have really enjoyed watching her shows!

FREE PHOTOS! Child models 4 and under wanted for tomorrow afternoon 1.00pm, Saturday 25th April, location West Bergholt. We have been let down at the very last minute, so this is an urgent and hopeful (!) request. In exchange for your time, 30 mins, you will receive a small selection of digital files from the session. FYI it's a training day for our new nursery photographer, so it's really important for her to have models to photograph as part of the training. Thanks in advance! Rob and Wendy

We have had a busy month at preschool, and finally we have been able to get in the garden and enjoy our new construction area, which the children are really enjoying. The children are also loving finding worms in the soil!

We have been busy decorating cakes and biscuits, making salt dough, and having a variety of activities on the tuff trays.

The children are all having a great time with their friends engaging in lots of different role play and crafts.

We celebrated Gabby’s birthday yesterday as she has gone on holiday, and today we had a dress up day for World book day- staff included!
