Artbox Workshop

We had a lovely time designing and making Christmas cards today. Thank you so much to everyone that came. Hope you all enjoyed yourself! I had a blast! 🎨

I hope everyone has settled back into the school year well and those starting new schools have enjoyed the transition.

Just popping on to let you know that Artbox after school club is on hold until October half term. This is due to my own childcare issues. I'm hoping that I will be able to get this sorted so that we can restart in the new half term. I've tried to resolve the issue but unfortunately things haven't gone to plan. If you would like me to reserve you a place please comment below and pop me a private message with your child's age, and your contact details so that I can let you know once things are up and running. Groups will only be run if we have a minimum of 7 committed attendees. This is due to the cost of hall hire, insurance and materials.

We were painting watercolour landscapes this week. They all did an amazing job. They are all work in progress but thought I'd share. The artists are aged between 8 and 14.

Today's group were looking at Francis Bacon portraits. We made copies using oil pastel. Great effort made by all! Well done. Would love to see them finished if you get time!

Artbox is back next week, Wednesday 15th for the home ed classes and Thursday 16th for the after school club. See you then!

Has anybody started their art work to represent 'spring'?

Happy Easter everyone|! hope you're having a lovely day and not making yourselves too sick on all of the chocolate eggs!!

Im setting you an Easter challenge to keep you all busy. I would like you to make piece of Art that represents spring. This can be done in any materials or technique you like. This challenge is open to Artbox members and other children aged 8-14. I will pick a winner on the Wednesday 13th April, The winner will win a 16 colour watercolour set and paintbrushes.

So what are you waiting for, time to get creative and show me what spring means to you.

Photographs need to be submitted buy 10 am on Wednesday 13th April 2016 to qualify for entry.

The winning entry will be judged on imagination and creativity. The entry can be 2D or 3D.

The Prize will be available to collect at either our Wednesday Home Ed workshop or on our Thursday evening workshop.

This Challenge is not connected to Facebook in anyway whats so ever, it is set up and arranged by Artbox Workshop to help keep children busy and creative!
