Welcome to Langham pre-school, a village pre-school established over 25 years ago and committee-managed by parents of children attending the pre-school. We are a registered charity, and a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PLA), which is a national education charity whose publications on pre-school curriculum and guidelines for good practice have been welcomed by the Government. To give children the opportunity to play and make friends with other children and adults;

2. provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age;

3. to ensure that all children are given equal opportunity to work towards the Early Learning Goals;

4. work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop;

5. to promote positive behaviour;

7. to value every child as an individual by giving them time to talk and staff time to listen;

8. add to the life and well-being of the local community;

9. offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity and to ensure each child’s transition from the Pre-School to a school reception class is as smooth as possible.

We have had a great start to the new term! We have welcomed some new friends and have settled back in really well. the children have discussed with each other what they got from Santa for Christmas and what they did over the holidays.

We have had a very busy time at pre school, we have been doing some extreme craft, using large junk modelling to make a wall to paint, the children really enjoyed choosing different colours and mixing them, this encouraged lots of lovely language about which colours they were using and what colours....

We have had a fun filled couple of weeks, we participated in pancake day, the children helped to make the mixture, they really enjoyed watching them being flung! We then decided which toppings to choose! Mostly not the healthy options!
