With Autumn quickly approaching the Penguins had the opportunity to explore our Autumn tuft tray. With a variety of resources of different textures and colours there was lots to investigate. The children were encouraged to describe the feel of the different textures and to create patterns with them. A general discussion was also had with regards to noticing different changes in the environment linked to the Autumnal changes.

With lots of transitions happening over the past few weeks we would like to share with you some of the routine in the Puffin rooms. During the day there are lots of ways for the Puffins to continue to grow in independence. Getting dressed for the garden. hand washing and pouring out their own water, to name but a few. Activities are happening all the time and with Autumn on the horizon preparation for this is already taking place. Children are also encouraged to take turns and share the toys and resources. Such fun!

Having shared the “Commotion in the Ocean” book, Puffins decided to create their own octopus. By carefully producing paper chains for tentacles the Octopuses came to life. Water-play also reflected sea life introducing different species of sea creatures found beneath the sea. What an adventure.

Our Penguins have really been enjoying the many resources we have in the garden. With the extremely hot weather disappearing for now fun was had by all. Our recent purchase of 2 wooden driving benches has been a real hit. Creating journeys to lots of fun and exciting places.

The Swan's, Cygnet's and Duckling's have been enjoying posting a variety of objects into various boxes and containers. This is such a great way to continue to improve their fine manipulative skills in a very fun way as these photos show.

Literally a blast from the past as this was created a while ago. Here are the Puffins exploring and discussing different features in space. From discussing planet names to creating their own mobiles. Then the Puffin space mission began by launching the rocket into a journey through space. What an adventure.

We would just like to share with you this lovely video of our Graduation Ceremony 2026. This is always such an emotional time for us all, as we begin to say goodbye to our school leavers. We do wish them all the best in their next adventure at school.
