Trophy Assembly
We held an emotional last day celebration this morning, saying goodbye to some staff and celebrating winners from EYFS, year 2, year 4 and year 6. Well done to all of the children who received a trophy. Have a restful and enjoyable summer!

Last night, Mrs Heard and Billy presented some trophies to the KS2 football club members and school team members. Well done to all of the children who have taken part. The winners were:

EYFS and KS1 Outdoor and Adventurous Day
All of the children in Conker, Silver Birch, Sycamore and Oak Class took part in a superb outdoor and adventurous day last week. They learnt about the pond and carried out pond dipping, made salt dough decorations and used the natural environment as part of art activities. Thank you to the staff who organised this great opportunity.

Our Year 6 pupils took part in their Leaver's Service in church last night. It was wonderful to hear their memories, listen to their singing and receive their Year Books. We wish them the very best in the next step of their learning journey- remember you are all unique and special.

Conker Class spent a fantastic day at Danbury Park as part of their pirate topic. They walked the plank, made ships out of sticks, climbed the ladders, 'slept' in a hammock and stole the treasure! A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers for facilitating this WOW trip.

On Friday the 3rd July, a group of year 5/6 boys went to a Kwik cricket tournament in Maldon. Although they didn't win any of their games, they only lost by a few runs each time. They played really well and scored lots of boundary runs and got several wickets too! They were a credit to the school. Thank you to Mrs Heard and all the parents for their support and help with transport.

Sports Day
On Thursday 3rd July, we held our annual Sports Day- 3rd time lucky! The morning consisted of a carousel of activities in mixed ability ages, with children competing to earn points for their team. After a lovely picnic lunch, the more formal races took place. Overall, the winning teams were foxes and hedgehogs with 516 points each! A huge thank you to Mrs Heard for organising this event, and to the staff and volunteers for their support. We would like to give a huge ‘shout out’ to the PTFA for running such a great café!

Dame Priti Patel joined us for our Celebration Worship in aid of 'Get Witham Reading 2026.' She then spent some time in our beautiful library with the class librarians to discuss the importance of reading and why they enjoy it.
