In Twinklestars and sunbeams, the children sat down to make some brownies and chocolate cupcakes for our macmillan cake stand to raise money for macmillan cancer support. It will be displayed outside preschools window,staff and other people have also made some yummy treats.

If anyone is fancying a sweet treat, come on down to preschool and pick one, and any donations will be very much appreciated 🤤

This week, our older babies have been and enjoyed a trip to the local woods with the aim of collecting some seasonal items we can use within our play back at nursery. The children were very excited to put on their coats and hi-vis jackets and set out on their adventure. Whilst out, we've spoken about staying with an adult and using road safety to check for cars, and our new friend PC Jack Daw was with us to make sure we stayed safe. The children have pointed out what they could see in our walk, such as "flowers, " "leaves," and "tree," as well as listening to the birds and nearby vehicles. The children collected sticks and leaves to take back to nursery and enjoyed an opportunity to investigate them closer before using the sticks to be and painted some lovely autumn pictures ready for our seasonal display.

Sunbeams baking 😋
This morning in sunbeams, we all decided to make banana bread. All the children independently went and washed their hands and came and put their hats and aprons on. We all took turns to have a go, and we all had some silly photos with the bananas 😂 The children had lots of fun pouring and mixing the ingredients. They used their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills while baking 😊

Today, in Sunbeams, the children really enjoyed playing with the animal tuff tray. They used their imagination to create animal cages, and they all sung "old McDonald's had a zoo." They also had lots of fun identifying all the animals and making animal sounds during cirlce time.

This afternoon in preschool, we had a visit from Jason. The children enjoyed balancing the cones on their heads and practising bouncing the balls. They all did really good listening, and they all used their hand-eye coordination while bouncing ,throwing, and kicking the balls. Thank you, Jason for coming along to play football with us !

We would like to say an enormous thank you for all your lovely cards and presents we have received, this means a lot although we don’t expect it, we do this job because we are all passionate about working in childcare. I hope all the children who left for school have enjoyed their first week.
