Last Saturday, we welcomed some of our parents for a transition visit day for parents to meet the members of staff from their new rooms. The parents, alongside their children, were able to explore the different resources, talk to staff about the change in routine, and see some of the activities we will be completing in September. We would like to thank all the parents who came along to this day.

The other day in sunbeams, we completed a healthy eating mark making activity. The children chose different fruit and vegetables to use to create different marks on their page. We spoke about the different colours and shapes we were using, which supported the children's communication and language development. The children have also shown really good control over their one-handed movements and hand eye coordination while holding the fruit and the stampers.

Healthy eating with Twinklestars ๐๐๐๐
Today in Twinklestars, we made some fruit kebabs. We all washed our hands, and all took turns, we also used our hand-eye coordination while making our fruit kebabs. We used our mathematical skills to count each piece of fruit and used our communication and language skills to tell our teachers what each fruit was. We all were very excited to eat all the yummy fruit after ๐

We have been showing our support for England during this week's World Cup game by making our own England flags in sunbeams. On Wednesday morning, the children used their clever creator skills and imagination to follow the pattern on the England flag and made their own. They used their fine motor skills to mark make and concentrate really well to copy the pattern shown. We were terrific talkers and spoke about football and what we enjoyed, and some of the children recalled watching the previous games. They then added sticks onto their flags with glue and waved them around the room.
