Yesterday was my 30th wedding anniversary… ❤️
It made me realise something.
We spend months planning a wedding, choosing a wedding venue, finding the perfect wedding dress, writing our vows and organising every little detail.
But once we’re married, very few of us are ever shown how to make time for our relationship.
Years ago I joked that couples should be able to renew the terms and conditions of their marriage every anniversary.
That silly joke eventually became The Renewal Method™.
It’s not relationship therapy or marriage counselling. It’s simply a beautiful annual relationship tradition where couples spend one evening each year looking back on the year they’ve shared, celebrating their memories, having meaningful conversations and making plans for the year ahead.
Whether you’re newly engaged, planning your wedding, searching for the perfect wedding gift, celebrating your first anniversary or you’ve been married for 30 years like us, I hope this idea inspires you to make time for your relationship.

30 years married today.
The funny thing is, our anniversary is also the reason I started my business, The Renewal Method .
Years ago I joked,
“It’s a shame we can’t renew the terms and conditions every year.”
That joke wouldn’t leave me alone.
Today it’s a business, a product, and hopefully the start of a new tradition for couples.
Funny how life works.
