Join us to hear Professor Wendy Hardeman (University of East Anglia) present "Engaging low-income communities in behaviour change research." The seminar will focus on the use of creative and social approaches (e.g., fishing, collage, cooking, and photowalks) to engage low-income communities in research about healthy eating and physical activity, and implications for research and practice. Today we got to hear from postgraduate research students during our annual PGR conference! Incredible posters and talks showcased the diversity of research topics, methods, and analyses used by our PGR students as well as the variety of societal challenges they are tackling. Amazing job to all of the presenters, the PGR team, and our poster winner - Shashank Singhal!

Last week, in partnership with the Essex Health, Wellbeing, and Care Hub, psychology students participated in a short-term placement supporting the Parkinson's UK "Progress Together" event which brought over 250 people to campus for educational programming and networking.

Students presented the theories, hypotheses, study designs, and results from their independent dissertation projects (as part of PS300). Recently, students in PS517 - an optional third year module introducing students to the Enviornmental Psychology - had the opportunity to visit the Smart Technology Experimental Plant Suite (STEPS) within our School of Life Sciences. Students were able to see, up close, the ways in which human behavioural intervention can lead to a more sustainable future in this state of the art laboratory space.
