AJA AREA TRAINING
Invitation to area training at CJC, Saturday 26th September.

Under 14 Juniors, 8.45 till 10.15am
Seniors and Juniors who train with seniors 10.30 till 12pm

FOC to CJC and AJA SE members,

Everyone else £6.00,
you must provide a valid AJA, BJA or BJC license.

We are expecting this to be very popular and will be taking names for it from next week.

A lovely junior session tonight, a warm up from Dan working on timing and ukemi and the technique was taken by Chris D, which was a continuation from his last week's Okuri Ashi Barai.
We then finished off with some great newaza and randori. Well done Finley for Judoka of the night.

The senior session was run by Dan, with a very mixed group, we worked on footwork, tskuri and kazushi as part of our warm up, then we worked on the ground, passing a guard position and defending a guard position. Finishing off with some solid newaza and randori, the newbies did brilliantly, as did everyone else 💪🥋

It appears it was a newaza focused night tonight.

in the junior class run by Dan we worked on escapes with a little bit of sh*****ng and break dancing, although the kids had no idea what break dancing is 🤣 we then finished off with some solid rounds in newaza and a fun go at crash mat charging. Well done to Lottie for Judoka of the night.

Seniors run by Chris D, were working on a lovely strangle and turnover, we then had some great rounds in newaza and finished off with some solid randori, absolutely great class and solid work from everyone.

What a solid evening of randori
Juniors, with slightly lower numbers, a lovely warm up taken by Chris J, everyone worked extremely hard on several rounds of Newaza and brilliant randori.
Well done to Olivia for Judoka of the night.

Chris J very kindly stepped up to run the seniors randori night. A tonne of newaza, tonne of randori and then the finished off some high intensity old school koka training, great work everyone 💪🥋

RANDORI NIGHT

A great junior class tonight, starting with a warm up from Etienne and then continuing our work from last week with Tai Otoshi, finally finishing off with some solid randori.
Well done to Xerxes and Jasper for Judokas of the night.

Chris J's second coaching session, continuing work on his great morote Seoi, with some nice variations and then on to some lovely newaza rounds and of course finishing off with some great randori.

An absolutely wonderful junior class this evening, working on using our opponents resistance and throw with Tai Otosihi, then finishing off with some great randori.
We also had the privilege to watch Josh from FDJC complete his Nage No Kata for his 1st Kyu (senior brown belt) well done Josh.

A great senior session was taken by Chris J, tonight working on the basics of Seoi Nage and evolving it into something that suits the Judoka personally.
We finished off with some solid newaza rounds and some exhausting randori. Great numbers too.
