We train at Colchester Leisure World on Mondays
Juniors age 5-15, start at 18:30,
Seniors, 16 and over start at 19.30
please get in touch if you require more info. There is also a closed group for regular members and parents of junior members. We train at Colchester Leisure World and we welcome old and new friends to join us for a training session. At our Judo Club, you can do as much or as little as you want, you've just got to enjoy yourself. Juniors age 5-15 start at 18:30, both boys and girls very welcome. I am buzzing after tonight's 2 sessions of randori, I'm certain I speak for the other coaches too.
The juniors had newaza, transitional randori and randori against the coaches, everyone working exceptionally hard.
Well done to Theo and Molly for Judokas of the night.

Seniors were led by Chris J, starting with a great warm up, which included uchikomi and nagekomi, then a few rounds of newaza, then lots of randori and finishing off with koka training.
The confidence exuding from our older juniors and seniors is very encouraging.
Great work everyone 💪🥋

What a wonderful morning of Judo,

A brilliantly led masterclass from Dominic King and Ryan King , for this we thank you.
Starting with the juniors working on a lovely Seoi Nage and KO uchi combo, finishing off with a great little Kesa gatame escape and some randori.
The seniors worked the whole lesson on Tomonage, I couldn't think of 2 better coaches to work with us on such an iconic technique, we then finished off with some beautiful randori.

A very full junior class working solidly on their syllabus and then finishing off with some wonderful randori, well done to Alex and Xerxes for Judokas of the night.

Etienne's 3rd session this month started with another insane warm up and then on to more techniques using non standard grips, throws such sumi gaeshi and Yoko wakari were thrown into the mix.
Of course we finished off with some nice randori,
We also welcomed 4 newbies across both sessions.

I can now confirm we have 2 fantastic guest coaches Dominic King and Ryan King, they'll be running a masterclass and finishing off with some randori, so we all get a chance to train with someone new.

Well done to Jasper and Alisha for Judokas of the night.
The junior session worked in 4 different grade groups tonight, we are lucky enough to have plenty of coaches to be able to do this and everyone worked exceptionally well, we then finished off with some brilliant randori.

Etienne's second senior session, was a killer of a warm up and focus on more of the grip techniques, such as a kata garuma and a reverse Seoi nage, got us all thinking about alternative techniques.
Obviously we finished off work some newaza and randori, Great job everyone 💪🥋
