We are busy practising for our Sports Day this Wednesday. Please remember this event is for all children and families. We are looking forward to seeing you all thereπ
We continue to learn about our feelings and emotions. We are learning to name our emotions, understand them and try to find a solution through stories, puppets and role play. The children from our Apples room continue joining in some more challenging activities to prepare them for school.

We had another fun week at Caterpillars, practising for our Sports Day in the shade of our forest garden, having fun with our new flower sprays, playing together in the mud kitchen and observing our caterpillars turning into cocoons. Have a lovely weekend everyone! The π team

Very excited to welcome Sergeant Wright (one of the children's dads) to Caterpillars today. He told us all about the role of a police officer. We tried on some uniform, hats and other protective clothing. The children enjoyed sitting in the car and listening to the sirens. All children were rewarding with a special Police sticker. Thank you David, we really appreciate you taking time out of your morning.

We introduced Pantosaurus today, children loved the song and had fun designing their own paper pants π¦ The very hungry caterpillars sparked some curiosity in the Apples room, did you know caterpillars have no bones that's why they can wiggle? π 'People Who Help Us' sensory trays were a fun way to explore fire engines. Our new basketball hoop in the garden was very popular and we might have some basketballers in the making ππ

Something very exciting arrived at Caterpillars Pre-school today! Our very own, real tiny and very hungry caterpillars π We will watch them grow, transform into cocoons, and then butterflies. We have a beautiful new butterfly book to look through, and find out more about Painted Lady butterflies and its life cycle. Watch this journey! ππ¦
