Caterpillars Preschool Marks Tey

Look at our new Caterpillars Falls! Thank you to Ross, one of the settings dad's for making this amazing water exploration area for us! The children absolutely love watching the water run, they pour & empty, estimate and calculate, they take turns and try to figure things out. 💧🫶

It's raining and we love it! Busy morning in our garden. 🌧💧 in water proof clothes and wellies, nothing can stop us exploring! 😉 Can you spot a tiny and maybe very hungry caterpillar?

What a week full of celebrations, movement/exercise and lovely food! Massive Thank you to Kelly, who came to read a story in French, the children were fascinated by hearing a different language and we all learned some new French words! Throughout the week children had an opportunity to taste some new food like focaccia, croissants, French or Italian cheese, Czech sausages or pickles or American pancakes. Thank you to Lisa for bringing in some Italian breadsticks and fruit juices for everyone. Children learned how to say good morning in different languages and we all looked at the map of the world to explore where England and other countries are.
Football celebrations on Thursday were so much fun as all children took part in the little training session and had a great time kicking footballs around ⚽️

It's Football World Cup celebrations today! Don't forget to wear your football or sports shirts ⚽️🥅🥳

Another busy week at Catetpillars. Apples room were challenged to complete activities Whilst Pears room were busy building and constructing. Lots of outdoor play and exploration in the forest garden, front playground and school field.

We have a new climbing tower in our garden! Thank you to one of our children's dad's for their help assembling it. The children absolutely love it, taking turns, using their muscles to climb up and pretending to sail on a boat. 🤩

We are really proud to have one of our members of staff to be nominated for the Marks Tey Pride in category EDUCATION. Helen has worked at Caterpillars for over 20 years and is valued and loved member of the team. Thank you Helen for everything you do daily for all the Caterpillars children, families and staff! ❤️

Such a fun day Friday followed by a delicious picnic.
