Including live sporting events, weather tracking and even the GPS in your smartphone
But did you know that rhere are over 2500 satellites orbiting the earth? Or if you were to store all the data the satellites collect in a year on dvds, it would be 4 times the height of the Empire State Building 🤯
The Squiggle Game, the perfect follow on from our last 2 posts for this months
All the information can be found in today's story as well as highlights!

Scribble Maps
Last time we had fun letting go of our feelings in big, small, fast and slow scribbles. Now that we’ve limbered up or fingers, hands and the muscles in our shoulders it’s time for more scribbling fun. You will need a fresh piece of paper, or if you’re using an unwanted roll of wallpaper, simply roll it on!
You should be feeling calm and ‘in the now’, rather than thinking about things you need to sort or do! If needed do some more frenzied scribbling until you feel ready to start.
Pick a felt tip and hold it firmly yet gently - like you want to draw a clear line, but don’t want to ruin your best pen nib. Now you’re ready to draw a calm scribble. It could be a series of continuous loops forming a circle or lots of zig zagging lines like a mountain range. Try to keep your pen on the paper to draw a continuous line, changing direction if needed, to join up some of the lines. Give yourself between 30 seconds and 1 minute for this.
You will now need some coloured pencil or pens as the aim is to colour in all the ‘shape islands’ that your scribble has created. It’s a good idea trying to avoid using the same colour on adjacent shapes if you can.
As you focus on each unique ‘island of colour’ you will be practicing mindfulness without even knowing it! Once you have filled in all the shapes, sit back and admire what you’ve created. How does it feel to have turned a scribble into a real work of art? Enjoy the satisfaction of completing something and how it makes you feel.
Other ideas….
Try another scribble shape or different coloured pens. If the scribble is big enough you can even colour in the shapes with someone else. This would be a lovely thing to do with a child.
Here are some Scribble Maps that I made. I’d love to see what you create.
