Alan’s family have asked us to share the date and time of our good friend Alan’s funeral.
The funeral service will be at the Colchester crematorium on the 10th January at 11am.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we must let you know of the passing of our dear friend and Karateka Alan Taylor, 4th Dan, aged 79.
Our thoughts are with Jan, Lee and all his family and friends at this sad time.

Traditional Karate Colchester training times: Tuesday 6.30-7.30pm for beginners through to advanced grades, everyone welcome. Thursday training 7.00pm to 8.00pm for grades 5th kyu and above.
Both session at the Gilberd School, Brinkley Lane, Highwoods, CO4 9PU.

Dean Moyes has been awarded the grade of Godan (5th Dan Black Belt)
Dean has been a loyal member of the Traditional Karate Colchester for many years. Supporting competitions, training courses and teaching.

Congratulations Dean this is well deserved 👊

****IMPORTANT TRAINING UPDATE****

There will no training on Tuesday 5th April and Tuesday 12th April due to the Easter Break.
Thursday night class will still be on for senior grades at the normal time.

The first Tuesday lesson back will be the Tuesday after the Easter Monday

Thursday night class will start at 7pm from this week onwards.

We cover basics, pair work, sparring .

All adult grades are welcome, juniors by invitation.

******GRADING NEWS******

We held a Dan grading today at Colchester.

Both Stephen and Jamie have been putting in the extra training and hard work needed to the lead up to the grading.

The grading was led by Les Birkin with other Dan grades on the panel.

Les put them through their paces, both covered basics, kata and pair work.

The standard displayed was excellent and we are pleased to announce the following results.

The time has also the changed, class starts at 7:30 pm for an hour.
