The Mulberry Bush Montessori Nursery

We are absolutely delighted to share with you the results of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on 4 February 2026.
We are incredibly proud of the outcome, as The Mulberry Bush Nursery Ltd has achieved a ‘Strong Standard’ across every single category evaluated by the inspector. We would like to thank everyone that spoke to the Inspector, and to those of you that wrote the lovely comments that we passed on.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated staff and the wonderful environment we have built together for your children.

Our Inspection Highlights
The inspector, Jessica Whiteley, recognised the high quality of care and education we provide. Here are the specific areas where we achieved a Strong Standard:

Achievement: All children, including those facing learning barriers, are expertly supported to make excellent progress.
Behaviour, Attitudes, and Routines: Children behave impeccably and show deep respect and empathy for their peers.
Welfare and Wellbeing: We have created a calm, relaxed environment where children feel a secure sense of belonging.
Curriculum and Teaching: Our staff demonstrate high-quality teaching methods and skilfully engage children in learning.
Inclusion: We provide a highly inclusive environment that helps all children thrive.
Leadership and Governance: Recent management changes have been highly impactful, with a clear vision for the future.
Additionally, the inspector confirmed that our safeguarding standards are met, noting an ‘open culture in which safeguarding is everyone's responsibility’

Also on our transport theme we had a literal flying visit, Laura’s brother did a fly by in a Cessna over Mersea and flew circles over the mulberry bush ,we tracked him on the plane tracker, the children were very confused where he was going to land and wondered why he could not land in the car park! Thank you so much-what a lovely experience to see 🧡

How lucky are we?! Today we had a very special visit…….a HUGE green tractor! The children were so excited to see it pull in to our car park this afternoon! The children loved looking around it, and sitting in the drivers seat too 🥰 Thank you so much for coming to see us 🧡
